  1. The Jets and Steelers were both handled this week by NFC teams. I would not crown anyone yet. My AFC comment earlier in the thread really rubbed you the wrong way, didn't it? ;D Nah its all in fun man..I just thought about this thread while driving to work this morning and had to rub it in a little bit.
  2. H2o CRS

  4. I bet you are. But seriously though, the NFC has nobody thats able to hang with any of the top AFC teams. The AFC Championship game will be the Super Bowl. It's still very early to make a statement like this. The Saints are more than capable of getting back on track and making a run. We have been without our 2 starting backs and our 3 best Db's for most of the season so far. Brees has played horrible and yet we should be 5-2 without the 29 yard field goal miss in ot. If we handle the Steelers Sunday which we are capable of doing everyone will be on the bandwagon again...I would say right now the Giants and Falcons are the teams to beat in the NFC but that could change very quickly.
  5. guess not..
  6. Im glad they changed the style. I have one of the last models and while it is one of the smoothest casting reels I have boy it sure is ugly!!
  7. What is this? Santa comes to your house and takes the best half dozen crankbaits you own, and then gives them to Glenn & The Mods! ;D JK - You'll find out. I can't wait for this. ;D I am also excited as this is my first Christmas being part of the BassResource family How can that be? Your profile says been posting a long time...j/k
  8. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think they have a senko style bait. They do have a similiar bait caled the Z-nail that is basically a stick bait but to me they are a litle stiff with not much wiggle. The new Magnum finesse worm is a better stick bait option in my opinion.
  9. I think its like alot of other things, there are plenty brands out there that are on the same level and all work but there are small things that you may prefer over the other which does not always mean the fish will care but give the angler more confidence. I prefer to fish zoom almost exclusively because of their variety of baits and colors and they are one of the most valued priced plastics out there. I think some of the plastic manufactures have really over priced their products and have become a little "gimmicky". There is only so much you can get out of a soft plastic bait in my opinion. The only one bait I can think of that is in a class of its own is the original senko anything else just use what you have confidence in and can afford. I think this applies to most of your straight tail, curly tail worms which are no or limited action baits. Craws and frogs are where some manufactures seperate them self a bit from the competition.
  10. It seems that this is he only style bait that they do not have in their line up. Wonder why?
  11. Women have the same opportunity to make the classic as Men right? Whats more fair than that? It just so happens the majority of people bass fishing are men. That's just the way it goes. I am not a fan of special diversity programs. Just like blacks and Nascar, no one is discriminating you just have to earn it like everyone else...
  12. It was cool to ask questions and actually have him answer them live on camera. I kind of got the feeling that he no quite as versatile as alot of the elite anglers. He even mentioned this one time saying that his son is much more open minded than he is. I guess he lives and dies by pitching and flipping. He seems like a super cool guy though and very smart.
  13. I we talking about me here. If I have ever corrected someones spelling please tell me where so I can delete it. My spelling sucks :-/ No talking about Clary in another thread. But he has been catching some heat today so i am letting this die. I did not realize he was 15 until today after reading numerous threads questioning his credibility... Here is the thread if you care to read it. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1287280972/0
  14. We fish 10 tournaments with two of them being two day road trip tourneys that make up for the two months we don't fish so we essentially have 12 tournaments scored. At the end of the year you get to drop your 4 lowest scores(fish for points). This was my first year and joined late so my four drops were "no shows" so I had to keep a couple scores that i would have dropped. Finished up 5th and will be fishing top six tourney on Toledo Bend. Will be able to give it a full go this upcoming season.
  15. Last time I checked this was a fishing forum not English class or Grammar School... No need to kick a guy in the nutz for his spelling on the Internet without knowing his background or reasoning... Some one must have thought it (spelling) was important or they wouldn't have put a "check spelling" function on the site. Just saying...How can you ridicule someone for their spelling then follow up starting a sentence off with AND???

  17. This is what I used. Very simple, when you tighten the screw the rubber gromet swells and tightly secures the mount to the boat. it also provides a little flexibility to prevent stress on the mount. This a standard Motorguide part so good chance this is how your motor is mounted now.
  18. Kind of weird, I hate the fact that Nascar went to a playoff system and feel the same way about Bass. But I love playoffs in other sports so what makes it different?
  19. Do they really prevent rust? I just switched all my boxes over to these..Aside from the rust prevention they seem to be of very good quality and very reasonably priced. Quality latches and dividers compared to my old planos.
  20. Killer early morning over submerged grass..When the topwater bite is slow this is my go to early morning lure.
  21. Single Axle = Trailer tires Double Axle= Car tires as long as the total weight of your rig/4 does not exceed the max load capacity of each tire you are fine. Car tires will actually last longer and provide a smoother ride. Trailer tires are made with a harder compound and with stronger sidewalls to help with sway. Sway should not be an issue with double axle boat trailer being the load is positioned correctly and is always the same unlike a car or utility trailer. Bass Cat uses car tires on their rigs from the factory...
  22. Wondering same thing, did last fish make it back to the lake? Anyway nice catches, those are some pigs. Last fish is getting mounted as it was my PB to date. I will not mount another one unless it's 10 or over and will more than likley go with a replica next time. This is my first mount so I wanted to keep the real thing on this one. This lake has a slot limit of 18-22 inches. This fish measured 23 1/2 inches. The slot limit is obviously working which also played part in my decision.
  23. I have the 7'6" MicroMagnesium which is a great frog rod also and a little easier on the pocket. Makes a good H pitching rod also. I even use mine for carolina rigging from time to time. Very light and sensitive.
  24. I have a 7' M I use for topwater poppers and cranks. Its pretty soft compared to my other M rods and makes a great cranking rod. Has plenty of backbone as well. I have landed some good size redfish on this rod also.
  25. The lake in Natchez State Park.
