What do you like to build your mold boxes with? Nice work. I've made some molds similarly with bondo. Both the fiberglass resin and the regular automotive.

Urp is right, I towed from my bumper for a couple years and couldn't figure out why my trailer tires kept wearing out. Got a hitch now and they're fine.

Man that looks awesome. I've broke mine a couple times and it's broke at the moment as well. I wish I had one of those.

I always ask them how long it should be before I hear anything, that way I know when it's time to start calling. I can also quote them on it later. For example, if they say I should at least hear something in a week and I haven't, I'll call at that time and say "well so and so said they would let me know by Friday".

I have an 07 and it will fit 7 1/2' rods no problem. I have a 60 4 stroke and I can get in the low to mid 30's gps. I also have 3 batteries; two 29's and one 27, I just had to move things around a little bit. The biggest things I don't like about it is that the rod locker in in the center instead of the side, and the speed. If I were buying new I would go with the Stratos 176, and if you go check them both out I bet you'll agree. The carpet is 1000 times better on the stratos and the fit and finish is also superior. The console is much nicer and just looks more like a true bass boat compared to the tracker.

Nice work. I love the MHX blanks. I'd love to do a blindfolded test with some of the guys who swear that the super high end is so much more sensitive. I like the black wraps too, I use black and no color preserver on almost all of my builds.

What's everybody using to glue down plastic baits for casting in resin? I've used double sided tape with less than perfect results and I think some type of spray adhesive might work better. Suggestions?

You'll never be happy with a 115 on that boat and you'd always wish you went with the Triton.

Great work. That foiled Tennessee Shad is interesting. Is that a blank that could be bought or did you carve it?

I would go for the Triton. It's newer, and it will most likely be a lot faster. I'm not positive about the R83's, but in general Rangers are usually slow with a couple exceptions.

Before I got my current truck I was towing off the bumper. I went through a set of tires each year. Now I'm pulling it from a hitch and my tires are holding up much better.

You don't have to worry about lead fumes if you're using a lead melting pot. They do not get hot enough to vaporize the lead. Simply melting lead doesn't create toxic fumes. You still have to be conscience of contamination on you hands and clothing from handling, but the fumes are the least of my worries.

It probably wouldn't require adding cork. It would most likely be possible to remove your name, and if for some reason it isn't, it could just be covered up and finished over. Donating the rods would be very thoughtful and generous of you, but I'm not sure how much your intended recipients would benefit from custom rods. What I would do in this case is sell the rods, and donate that money. Or use that money to buy items better suited to a children's organization. I don't know what kind of rods you have, but the sale of a Loomis blank could buy a lot of zebco 33's. Not to mention that whoever buys a custom rod would be able to appreciate it more than a kid who wouldn't know the difference.
