  1. Daiwa Tatula or Quantum Smoke plus a *** *** rod.
  2. I went with the NRX 842S SJR. I believe it will be the best all around spinning rod for my multiple techniques. Thank You to everyone that contributed. Cant wait to pair it with the Stella.
  3. Ok, thanks again. I'm leaning towards the 822S SYR. Its the same size as my current rod and should cover everything I will be using it for.
  4. Thanks for the response. So in your best estimate, it should be good for what I am looking for? Is the tip too soft?
  5. Anyone, regarding the mag-medium rating on the NRX 822 SYR?
  6. I'm looking for the right spinning rod for my needs. It will either be the NRX 842S SJR or the NRX 852S JWR. It will be paired with a Stella 3000HGM. 8lb fluoro. I will be using it for weightless flukes, shakey head, tubes, grubs....mostly weightless flukes. I am currently using a 6'10" Quantum TE PT Shaw Grigsby spinning rod that has served me extremely well. It is Medium-Fast. I like the size and action so something similar. I have zero experience with ether one so maybe someone can chime in. I'm looking to order tonight so if you can reply quickly that would help. Thanks
  7. I'm about to spend a lot of money on new rods and reels. New Steez baitcasters and a new '14 Stella. NRX and Megabass rods. I'm sure I'm gonna be extra careful as I am with everything, but I'm more concerned with catching fish and enjoying the products.
  8. I'm switching up all my rods and reels. I am going to the dark side. All new Steez and Stella reels and Megabass and NRX rods.
  9. Sweet Stella. I have the 3000HGM coming in. Cant wait!
  10. If you go short shank, you can go up 1 size.
  11. Flip a coin. They're all good.
  12. 7.XXlb brown trout. Best fight of my life. You had to see it to believe it.
  13. There are a lot of things in life that we dont need, but we get a lot of joy from them. So my answer is yes, we do need them.lol.
  14. Vanish is, hands down, the worst line I have ever made the mistake of trying. Never again.
  15. I'd like to try out a Megabass Vision 110. I want to see what all the hype is about.
  16. I like 12lb Seaguar Invizx
  17. I never use a strong hookset. I'll try again and see. Maybe my drag was set too strong and that did it.
  18. I started using braid with fluoro leader this season with some success but get a lot of break offs at the not. I use a uni-uni knot and and it comes out perfectly but just lastnight I had a decent size bass hit my fluke and I go to set the hook and snap. Right at the knot. I was so frustrated. What are you guys doing that maybe I'm overlooking?
  19. I like a 7' MH-Mod. rod
  20. I use the same things I do in spring. Weightless fluke Spinnerbait Lipless crank Jerkbait
  21. I have a lot of lipless cranks but my top 3 are the original Rat'L'trap, SK red eye shad, and Xcalibur Xr50
  22. I'm gonna need a good rainsuit too. I'm probably gonna check out the Cabelas Guidewear come this fall. Hoping for some big discounts. I also like Stormer and Simms.
  23. One of my go to baits in early spring and fall. The bass in my avatar is my biggest LM ever and it was caught in early spring 2012 on a pearl white Fat Albert grub.
