  1. I prefer the YUM money minnow over the shadalicious. And I use a MH-H rod .
  2. Fluke. Its not even close.
  3. War Eagle, Strike King and Revenge spinnerbaits. My go to flukes are Zoom super flukes in pearl white fished weightless. Deadly.
  4. Well, that sucks. Gonna have to look at it in person before I decide. Thanks
  5. What about it looks and feels cheap?
  6. I know the differences in constructions, but which has the better internals? I watched and read some reviews and while everyone raved about the new FK, some things left me concerned like the drag washer wearing way too quickly and the spool shaft not having a bearing.
  7. Between the Stradic Ci4+ and the new Stradic FK, which would you choose and why? I dont know which is the better reel.
  8. What reel are you pairing it with?
  9. I have the same rod. It, too, was my first NRX and I love it. Its very light and sensitive. Enjoy.
  10. Yeah, I've done that
  11. Every year, I always tell myself I'm gonna try this and I'm gonna try that, only to go back to what I've always used because its always worked. That said, I'm gonna try to drop shot some more and I'd like to try more swimbaits, again.
  12. I just got into Shimano reels this season after 25 yrs of Quantum. I currently own the following: 4-2013 Metaniums 1-2014 Stella I'm dying to get the new Calcutta Conquest 100HG. Such a beauty. Maybe another Stella too.
  13. I stick with what works. white/chartruese, double willow. one gold blade/one silver.
  14. My favorites are Strike King burners, War Eagle, and Revenge.
  15. I want a new Shimano Calcutta Conquest 100HG really badly. Such a beautiful reel. Throw in a couple more Megabass Orochi XX rods and maybe another Stella and I'll be happy.
  16. Of course you can use it for bass fishing. Thats not the point. He is asking about balance. A 1000 series reel that is already light weight will not balance well on that rod.
  17. Thats a small reel for that rod. Need a 2500 or 3000
  18. I love jerkbait fishing but I always have better success in the spring then I do in the fall. Go figure.
  19. Save your money and do it yourself. Its not difficult at all. I used to be intimidated myself about taking it apart, cleaning, lubing, and reassembling. Its easy. Take pics of each step and place the parts in order.
  20. Flippers: Are you guys tying your jigs/bait directly to the braid or are you using a leader?
  21. Hows the water clarity where you fish?
  22. I use a Megabass Orochi XX Flatside special with a Shimano Metanium 6.2 reel. Seaguar invizx 12lb fluoro.
