  1. sweet! enjoy!
  2. $130 is a hell of a deal. I will look out for them when the time comes.
  3. I currently fish Quantum Tour Edition PT's. The ones with the carbon fiber handle. Great reel. I hope the Lew's surpasses my expectations.
  4. I'm gonna have to give them a try. I'll pick up one of the tournament pro's and try it out for a couple of weeks and see how I like them. Worst case, I'll sell it here on the site to someone.
  5. I've been a loyal Quantum buyer for over 20 years now and while I love them and have had zero issues with any of my reels, I'm really intrigued by the new Lew's reels. I've noticed a huge conversion of buyers from other brands to Lew's in the last few years. Can someone explain why? Are they that good? What do they offer that may be better then Shimano, Abu Garcia, and Quantum? Obviously, I know people are brand loyal as I am with Quantum, but I'm looking for an unbiased opinion. I'm interested in the Team Pro. Anyone have them? I noticed most have the Tournament Pro. BTW, I currently fish Energy PT's and Tour Edition PT's
  6. Discount would be sweet! While we're at it, anybody have a Dobyns discount too?
  7. how heavy is your line?
  8. First, what is your budget? and what do you have in mind as far as make and model?
  9. what was your turnaround time?
  10. Its not the cool thing to do anymore. Today, people are obsessed with having 15 different rods and reels for 15 different presentations. When all else fails, you still cant beat a worm.
  11. Chrome blue and gold black.
  12. I used Zoom bubble gum super flukes last season for the first time and the smallmouth crushed them. I plan on using them again this season.
  13. I havent used a jitterbug since the 90's! Looks like I'm gonna pick some up.
  14. Of all the jerkbaits I own, the Xcalibur jerkbait has worked the best for me for reservoir smallies. chrome with blue top and orange belly.
  15. nice job. look great
  16. large profile lure in bright colors and blacks. And dont forget the rattles.
  17. 10 is way too much. 1. Zoom fluke-I NEVER leave my house without a few bags. 2. Tubes 3. Grubs
  18. I like both sizes
  19. I use small, light jigs for smallmouth and during the transition from late fall to winter.
  20. The Quantum PT line is great. Thats a steal for that reel. Do it.
  21. Those are far from useless. I've had success dragging them with a football head jig, both weedless or exposed hook. I also texas rigged them.
  22. I throw a chartreuse or chartreuse/white spinnerbait under most conditions. I too fish clear to stained reservoirs. I vary the blade colors and sizes. I like tandem willow blades. One silver, one gold. If I'm fishing ultra clear water, I will down size the blades and make them both silver. But for clear to stained water on an over cast day, I prefer silver and gold. I also throw chartreuse blades with a chartreuse skirt for smallmouth on an overcast and stained water.
