i use the improved clinch for braid all the time , and yes , even on spiderwire stealth with NO problems . but you didn't mention if the breakoffs happened during a backlash or if you think the braid had dug into the spool . when braid digs into the spool , it will stop the line and with the no-stretch aspects of braid , it wil cause too much stress on the line and cause it to break suddenly . i have had this happen to me using 30 lb. Power Pro throwing frogs that weigh only 1/2-5/8 of an ounce . so don't be suprised if this continues to happen . mine and probably alot of other peoples advice is to go up in line dia. , to maybe 20-30 lb. braid or use a good mono , co-poly, or florocarbon line . you didn't say what kind of reel you are using , but maybe that would help get better recommendations . as far as Spidedrwire braid goes , alot of people use it , i don't , but i doubt that it is the line but rather the user not using the RIGHT line .....
