  1. my mistake , i thought you were talking about Sunline's best flouro , Sunline shooter , which is $39.99 http://www.***.com/Sunline_Shooter_Fluorocarbon/descpage-SLSHF.html
  2. It's expenxive but its great line. I think you'll like it.
  3. just as the title says , in is on sale for $11.38-$13.39 ( 6-25 lb. test lines) for all you fans of this line , you might want to stock up
  4. i have a 102 , i have it spooled usually with 6 lb. CXX but just changed to 10 lb. Power Pro . i really like this reel , has good drag and feels solid , doesn't flex like most smaller reels .
  5. i know what you meen about *** , it is one big candy store
  6. get the STX , a heavier duty reel for heavier duty fishing !!!
  7. i crawl it very slowly and pause , twitching it . i hop it slighly when it bumps into some thing like a rock or something . i think alot of people (including me !!!) work these things way too fast when they get in a hurry and are not really expecting a bite . if you toss it in a place you know has fish there , be confident and pay attention to the way you present it and fish will bite the crawbug !! the "crawdad" color is the only color i use (the crawbug and craw papi)
  8. i also use braid for flipping and punching , i use 30 lb. braid (also what i use for frogs) and fine that the braid does cut thru grass mats and line visibility is not affected at all . like has been said , flipping and punching is a fairly short line technique so i don't worry about "line bow" with braid while flipping plus i use fairly heavy weights (3/4,1,1.5 oz. weights) wich takes out the "bow" letting you get excellent sensitivity and great hook sets anyhow , as far as using mono , what i just desribed about braid is the oppisite with mono ( too much stretch , far less sensitivity , mushy hooksets ) but then again , if it works for you ....
  9. how far off do you think the Sunline Shooter Metan Green Fluorocarbon is to sniper ???
  10. brands aside . you want to get a reel that has good line capacity , strong drag , and a fast rate of retrieve (preferrably a 7.1:1 gear ratio but a 6.4:1 gear ratio will work also ) . as for me , i use a Revo SX 7.1:1 reel using 30 lb. braid . any how , most decent reels with high speed gears will work , try to find one in your budget and have fun
  11. Agreed. I am a Revo fan, but as a first baitcaster, I think you have done well with the PQ, some found the old model SX's kinda tricky 8-) i learned on my SX and now i can cast any baitcaster !! too bad you didn't get the SX , one heck of a fine reel . can't wait to get some more money in my gear fund so i can get a couple more
  12. here is a weight that i know makes a difference when fishing worms
  13. get out there and catch a hog
  14. i use those on occasion , still have some in my binder , i rig them by themselves on an Owner ultra-head standup jig hook
  15. i have had problems with 10 lb. and 12 lb. breaking very easy , too easy >
  16. here is a must have lure http://www.sewerlure.com/display.html hope everyone gets a laugh
  17. i like to blow them up with air ( worm blower) and rig them on a size 12 treble with a size 5 split shot 3-5 ft. up from the hook
  18. all the walmarts by me have some kind of selection of Robo worms , not the best but they got them !!!
  19. in my experience , baby bass stay in close to banks and in and around cover . i wold cast it out parallel to the bank and twitch it around cover with a slow retrieve . also if you can get it out over the tops of grass by the banks would be good for big fish to ambush from below . what sink rate did you get ???
  20. i use the magnum clips for big swimbaits and never had one fail . for crankbaits , i have been using BPS's fast-lock snaps with no problems , i use the size 3 in nickel http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_7816_100010005_100000000_100010000_100-10-5
  21. get the LTBC73XHF, a 1 piece , heavy powered , fast action , jig and mat punching machine !!!!
  22. if your shopping BPS , look at the pro qualifier , alot of people on here really like them . and check out the carbonlite reel( they are about 3 ozs. less than the rick clunn reels !!!)
  23. the new one is purple !!! http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_10205036_100001001_100000000_100001000_100-1-1
  24. they should be pretty good rods , Reaction Strike makes them , and before someone starts , i know their baits suck , but their muskie rods are really good , was gonna use one of their blanks for a swimbait rod (still might later on) but to get the blank , was gonna be a hassle i didn't want to take . anyhow , if your wondering about their rods , i would say they are legit ......
