  1. call shimano customer service ...
  2. one of the most important decisions in buying tackle that cost hundreds of dollars is customer service !!! this day and age most rods and and reels are pretty close on features and performance , but what stands out to me and the reason i buy my rods and reels from St. Croix , Lew's , Phenix , and Abu Garcia is that their customer service is phenominal !! so know your brand you choose and be confident in them before you spend your hard earned money with them , some companies don't care about customers , it's a sad fact and don't let it happen to you . i called up a company that i use for swimbait line about a concern i had about their new colored line they added , i had bought (3) 1/4 lb. spools and they were totally different from the original lines they have always offered , a lot more memory and a lot less supple . i told this to thier customer service and the guy told me '' sorry to hear that , haven't heard anything like that , that's too bad '' , no offer to send it in and possibly resolve the problem , no nothing !! i will not ever use that brand of line again . why should i if they don't stand behind it and make sure the customer is happy , anyhow , choose wisely with your reel purchase ...
  3. the Lew's Tournament Lite is a great reel , lite, strong and casts great . i'm really impressed with mine . i put the Lew's 95mm carbon handle on it with Revo eva grips and it is my favorite reel !!
  4. i have stated earlier in other threads that i look at a lot of different rods while in the local tackle shop , that being said , dobyns rods have quite a few flaws in their workmanship . St. Croix , always built like it was done by a custom rod builder ...
  5. You have to practice in a pool..
  6. i don't like the way it sits in the water and don't like the action on it .
  7. talked to him last night , said he wasn't sure . thanks
  8. what's up , no one have a Quantum smoke out there ??? are your eva knobs removable ??? what about a PT team KVD ??? or how about the EXO ???
  9. my favorite spinning reel is the Pflueger Patriarch Magnesium in size 40 , awesome reel and super light and smooth , i used to use 20 and 25 size reels , but i like the wider spool to cut down loops and twist .
  10. i'd rather hook a fish in the top of it's mouth rather then the corner , less chance of tearing the mouth , it's why i use Owner wacky hooks only for wacky presentations .
  11. that's not good ...
  12. the handle and eva knobs are worth the $20 ...
  13. i don't think i'm gonna spray it at all anymore and see if it clears up
  14. the difference is well worth the $50 price i would of spent the $50 alone with adding the 95mm carbon fiber handle !
  15. they both have the same line capacity - 12/160
  16. if you owned a diawa, revo , or lew's i'd tell you to get a 95mm Lew's carbon fiber handle , they look and work great !! i have one on my Lew's Tournament Lite with Revo large size eva knobs .
  17. i agree , the cap nut is super cheap looking ...
  18. are the eva knobs on a Quantum Smoke removable and will they fit on a Lew's handle ???
  19. lucky craft sammy , should have never spent 16 bucks on it , now it just sits on a shelf never to be fished again...
  20. use Citri-strip on it and remove the finish , take it down to the natural graphite !!!
  21. it would great if Batson created a reel seat off your recomendations !!!
