what is yours? im either using a 6'9 mh fast action or a 7'3 h fast action depending on cover.. i hear some people use a moderate rod for buzzbaits.. how does that work out for you guys?

highly doubt that is due to poor manufacturing or low quality parts.. id take an energy over 2 citicas any day.. now energy vs curado is a different story

both rods would fine choices.. you definitely can get by with 1 rod for both those techniques.. if you flip a lot, obviously go with the 7'6.. even if you dont flip a lot, you might want to go with the 7'6.. im assuming you're talking about spro type frogs and not the rage tail frogs

dont think you're overreacting at all.. ditch the company that doesnt treat you like they should and go with one that does.. seems like powell has a good rep.. i've had very good customer service experiences with kistler and powell

wow seems pretty evenly split with 2 guys recommending an upgrade.. i would use a better reel... but honestly, im only using this combo for perch at lake michigan.. i bought a premier 6'6 ul fast action rod.. which i already think was overkill.. i just want to save a few bucks on the reel.. i honestly am leaning towards the pflueger.. extra spool.. and i think its made of aluminum... the sedona is made from graphite i believe..

kistler rods are fantastic.. had to use the warranty 3 times.. all 3 times were my fault.. all 3 experiences were hassle free.. i just emailed them explaining the situation and they gave me a great pro-rated discount.. also i once sent a rod in to get a guide fixed (stepped on it)... the rod tube arrived at their factory in half... also snapping the rod... Trey personally sent me an email stating the situation and gave me a brand new rod on the house... they have fantastic customer service and great performing/looking rods.. i havent used much of their lower end rods like the carbon steel or graphite special.. but everything from magnesium to helium 2 are spectacular

they are slightly under $40 brand new... so it doesnt seem worth it to me

which one would you guys recommend? same price range of about 50-60 bucks... ive never used anything lower than a symetre so i am not sure how the lower end models hold up.. never used a pflueger before either.. thanks

electrolyte levels were ok before i charged.. a little low but nothing was exposed.. i just totally blanked and filled it before charging.. my charger turns off when it is fully charged and a green light will go on saying the battery is completely charged.. the green light hasnt come on for a couple days now and the tick says it is charging at 0-1 amp... my battery is 3 months old!

see i thought the EXACT same thing marauder did.. good thing i did not buy that broken tip rod from ebay!

so by mistake, i filled my deep cycle battery with distilled water BEFORE charging.. i did not want it to overflow while charging so i took the vent caps off while charging my battery.. now my battery will not charge to full capacity.. does anyone know what happened or can help me fix it? it is not the charger because i charged another battery with it and it worked fine. please help if you can..

so if i break a few inches off my rod and i add a new tip, how does the power or action change? i've heard that it goes up in power.. example - from a medium to a medium heavy.. ive also heard from someone else that it changes action.. if it was originally a moderate, it would be a moderate-fast or a fast depending on how much was cut off.. what do you guys think?

quantum had the reel for 1 or 2 days.. i was really surprised at the quick service.. i used it today and it did stop grinding when reeling in weight.. although i couldnt put it to a full test.. just light use... i had to use 2 or 3 paper towels to wipe away all the excess hot sauce before using it and a little was still dripping out when it was in use today.. one other minor gripe.. i sent this thing in pretty much flawless condition.. came back with minor scratches on the titanium deposition finish... which it definitely did not have before going in they did solve my problems though.. for now

ok i had 2 problems with my reel.. 1) my handle was messed up (could crank backwards causing handle to fall off) 2) the reel was grinding when i was reeling in weight.. even when lubed.. (whether it be fish or weeds).. wow did they oil the crap out of my reel.. it is just drenched in hot sauce and had a clear greasy substance all over the body of the reel that smelled like gasoline.. has anyone had a similar experience? do these idiot not know what they're doing? they fixed the handle fine but i still dont know if the grinding problem has been solved.. i will find out tomorrow.. but seriously, it is ridiculous the amount of oil and grease they put on.. and also the "gasoline" like substance.. i was holding off on sending any of my reels to RM til the end of the season to save on shipping.. but this one may need to go in sooner..

anyone use a shimano 1000 size reel (quantum 10 size, etc...) with 8 lb fluorocarbon? how do the tight coils affect memory and performance? any input would be appreciated.. thanks

if i break a rod on accident (closing door on it) will kistler replace my rod under their warranty?

i have 2 te1170pt and 1 te1160pt.. but the messed up one is one of the 1170pt.. actually i also have a energy e750pt and the 08 accurist burner.. and also a 08 tour spinning reel.. and after ALL that they still wont send me a $27 handle for free.. how ridiculous.. haha i have heard bad things about quantum's customer service but actually they have been very good about responding quickly to their emails... although i still agree that their customer service policies suck..

yeah i emailed them.. they said to send it in if under warranty or buy one from the website.. i dont really want to send it in, id rather pay 35 bucks to get a handle rather than send it in and have them take a long time to work on it.. not saying that they will but ive not heard the greatest about their customer service.. i just re-emailed them now asking if they can just send me a handle if i scan my receipt..

thanks for the suggestions bigbassguy.. but i actually took another handle off another tour pt i have and put it on the reel with problems.. and the rivets caught..
