  1. Requesting HELP and/or Advice? Seeking campgrounds on Peninsula. Have found (On PC) Big Cedar south of Germfask, on the Manistique river. Have an 18.5ft. Road Trek and kayak to fish from. Require electric and modern bath and showers. Wife is handicapped. Perfer sites close as possible to water. We fish for what is biting. Perch, Bass (SorL) Northern. The fishin is the thing. Like Deer huntin. Just a seein these critters makes us happy. If anyone can help????. Thank You- Thank You- Thank You. From Monroe- Seymour, Indiana
  2. How Do. Just started today ourselves. Live just up the road (Hwy65) from Ya'lll. Spent a lot of growin years along the banks of the Ohio. Now live in Seymour, Indiana. Was down your way couple weeks ago, camping along banks of Elkhorn Creek at Elkhorn Creek campgrounds in Frankfort. Fish Elkhorn Creek from time to time. It is a perfect kayak enviroment for fishin. Son lives in Lexington Still call Louisville, Lou a vil. South of the river is where we feel right down home.
  3. How do Robby. Sad news about learning. The older we get the more questions we have and less answers. Used small Jon boats for years. And, have been rewarded many fold since we began kayaking. Gets a person down close and personal with the business. Ultra-lite and kayak have let us get to know our subject on a much more eye to eye level. We love to top water fish and make our own small inline buzz baits. We make them as short and as light as possible. With a blade just big enough to allow it to spin. Once caught an alligator gar on one of these. Looked at your Bio. Nice to know Ya. Oh yes, the name Monroe is from a large impoundment west of us. outside Bloomington. Indiana.
  4. Nice to meet Ya. We a do a lot more angling than landing. So. I always tell myself this old saw. Boats don't catch fish. Fish can't swim as fast as those big old motors can run. With age, fuel prices and a wish to get back to the real fun part of fishin, we sold our big boat. Now have 4 old livery purchased Kayaks. Take the grandchildren as much as we can. So enjoy and hope you get that big boat soon.
  5. Not sure if we are doing this properly. These machines make us crazier than we already are. Am pushing seventy years pretty hard. Fish from a kayak using Ultra-lite. Do a lot more fishin than catchin. Live in Seymour, Indiana with wife. She is as good a fisherman as any man we know.
