  1. does the water look like its going down day by day? if so the bass will begin to congregate around the outer bushes making it easier to cast to them. but if this is a recent flood then the bass will be way back in the thick stuff.
  2. Not necessarily. Depends on several factors. The rod's weight rating, the rod's action, the line being used. So you're saying it's easier to cast light lures with a MH rod. : what he is saying is exactly right a MH rod with say fast action tip can cast light lures just as good
  3. some 14 lb fluorocarbon would be your best bet now what brand to get that's all personal preference.
  4. if your willing to spend the extra $ get a shimano core 50mg amazing reel for for flipping and pitching also can cast light weight plastics really well.
  5. hey guys I am going to getting a curado e5 and I want the best of both world sensitivity and strength, the reel primary use will be crankbaits and some soft plastics. What line would you all recommend (I don't like braid).
  6. the 7ft would be more desirable for pitching and flipping
  7. Once the water cools down, a slow presentation is key soft plastics could work around visible structure, slow rolling a spinner bait might increase your odds. Good luck tell us how you made out!
  8. Being from Canada, Alberta there is not alot of bass tourneys around and I was wondering if you guys knew of any down in Montana. preferably north west area. any help is appreciated!!!

  12. no experience needed except a good layout of the lakes you might be fishing the internet is your friend use it to research about the variety of lakes you may encounter. yes bass club would be a good place to start were things aren't as competitive.

  19. if he was fishing from shore (which looks like he was) it would be pretty hard not to
  20. yeah I have watched alot of bass fishing shows and decided to get out there and try them. I have learned a ton of knowledge without even fishing for them when I heard it was going to be a scorching day I decided the docks were going to be my best bet as far as bigger fish are concerned.
