  1. This is soo true. In the summer months I try to fish straight down in that big laydown. There are really holding close to the cover. In the early morning they will venture out for breakfast though. If you're catching only small it's because you're fishing where small fish are
  2. Hey Sam, Cast it in this direction if you don't mind!!
  3. If you hadn't taken the picture you could of said it weighed any amount but since you did, I'd say 4-5½ lbs. Now you can't tell everyone a tall fish story. Usually when I take a camera along I don't catch anything worth taking a picture of.
  4. I'm trying to find out some information about Shearon Harris Lake in NC. When I look using the search link all I get is ''Sorry no matches were found''. Shearon Harris is considered North Carolina's Lunker Capital so I'm sure there must be some information on this lake. Help me out, I'm sure there must be some info on Harris.
  5. I'll be pleased with at least a couple 5 or 6 lbers.
  6. Caught this bass with a crankbait and there was a live turtle and a crawdad still in her mouth. I let the turtle go but the crawdad became her meal.
  7. Great pictures Glenn.
  8. The kids don't know the difference in the name on the rod or the reel until the parents give them their 2 cents worth. The kids that want to fish don't care what name is on the reel. You would be better off just donating your old reels and letting them keep their discount difference.
  9. Just having images like this come up on the screen has convinced me that I will always have side image. The top picture is a submerged tree with fish all around the top of it. The second picture is a large school of baitfish. Taken with a 997c SI.
  10. Hmmm? What do you think now? He would probably sure die trying. courtesy of jeffonc from NCangler
  11. Couldn't vote. Why wasn't Mexico on the list?
  12. This Largemouth bass is a 7 lb 2 oz I caught while me and my dad were fishing a 3 acre pond in Stokes County, NC. Caught it on a Bagley Bang-o-lure. He grabbed the Bang-o-lure one time and he got off and I threw it back to him and I got him. Took some pictures and weighed it and let it go. My largest bass ever, that I weighed, was 8 lb 1 oz.
  13. Did you catch any of those Saddam bass? The ones that look like snookers from Florida.
  14. Thanks, I'm going tomorrow. I'll have to ride down around the dam and try it out. I went last week but I didn't get to fish long, my batteries went dead for some reason.
  15. I hooked one the exact same way about 15 yrs ago using a Rat-L-trap. I didn't know what I had for nearly 10 minutes. The boat wound up being almost 100 yds from where I hooked him. It weighed just over 25 lbs. Didn't get a pic of it though.
