Probably not very well without some type of weight on the back of the rod. My 7' M/F spinning was 5oz and tip heavy with a 2500 symetre. Great rods though.
Thanks, she's still getting the hang of casting but is quickly picking it up.
She tries to take my costas every time were out and today was her day so she got them. I'm looking for a polarized pair that'll fit her little face.
An update.
Got an ambition with a 6925 for my kid and she loves it. Went out for a few but the rain came shortly after so we will be out there tomorrow and hopefully get into some fish.
I have a fk and had a fj and ci4. I wanted to love the ci4 but I just didn't really care for it. It just felt weird to me but looked cool. The fj was awesome but the white killed it.
I absolutely love the fk.
Killer in the spring and summer down here. I prefer the 4" for my light tackle fix in pumpkin.
Trig, crig, split shot, drop shot, shaky head, burned over grass etc.
I have a couple but do not remember what models. One is a 4"ish that suspends less than a foot under the surface and another 2 or 3" sinking. Good quality and price but haven't fished them enough.
They still are all over the shelves at any shop in Miami Dade County.
My in laws had a mid 90s yota suv with just under 400k. Engine ran smooth but everything else was dying left and right. They traded it in towards a Ford to pull a boat.
Lol, whatever.
I've never caught one. Their colors combined with the scenery behind their habitat has to be something else. I just get the view of backs of people's houses, canals and roads.
6 lbs is plenty drag for most fishing and your reel shouldn't be slipping like that especially when it's locked down.
If it's newer, I'd contact pure fishing. The few times I've sent in things, they almost always send a replacement free of charge. The only times I paid was when the reel was an older model and they offered a new model at a discount.
The Sedona and above are quality reels from shimano and the 2500 (or 30 pflueger/abu) size is perfect for bass.
I like the President and supreme lines but something about shimano reels has me coming back.
Picked up a pair of hemostats with a line cutter and hook eye punch from bps. Can't remember the brand but I think jfranco may have recommended them some time back. They work great.
Or kids fiskars.
All of the red hooks I've used, gammy or otherwise, the paint flakes off after some time.
I may pick some up if they're that much cheaper than the standard color but I've never noticed a difference other than they stick out like a sore thumb in my tackle box.
The ardito would be a solid option. Solid connections and components with a 5 year warranty. I'd rate it's sensitivity about average for a rod in its price range. Not a bad rod by any means but nothing spectacular either.
I have an old ugly stick lite from when I first got into fishing but it's definitely whippy.
We went ahead and got the ambition ordered in the 4'6 flavor. She liked the way it looks and I feel good shes getting the one she picked. It'll probably go with a size 25 president to match the blue unless she finds something else.
I appreciate everyone's input!
Yes that's exactly what I was referring to. I'm so close to picking one up but there is very little feedback on them.
Where did you see one at? What did you think?
I'm looking to spend $50 max for this one. It's just to get her familiar with spinning gear and hopefully when she takes off with it, I'll splurge and get her something nice.
The baits will be ML territory and would prefer a fast action for more versatility.
