I am not sure what happened but today I was fishing a river with a jig on the bottom and I felt something so I set the hook and reeled the fish in and noticed it was a 8" catfish! Hooked in the bottom middle of his body. Took the hook out with no damage and he darted into the water and swam perfectly fine away. First time that's ever happened. Anybody have any other stories like this? I guess it had to be right place at the right time because this doesn't sound too normal. I was hoping there would have been a smallmouth on there.
When you guys go by yourself how do you launch the boat? do you back the truck down the ramp and put the E break on and go to the boat and take it off and tie it to a dock and get off the boat and pull your truck back up the ramp and park it? or is there a easier way then this for a solo mission?

Recently i've been seeing that people are using bright colors like Chartruese and Hot Pink for stained water or muddy, but I always went with Black or Blue, Tan or Green Pumpkin and Junebug. My question is, how many people use Chartruese or any bright color with stained water and it actually works?
