  1. Is this for any member? If so I want in.
  2. I bought a 5 pack of #4's for $8.00, pretty pricey. Put them on the rear only of some lipless cranks and it seemed like every fish I caught after that was only hooked on the front treble which is a standard hook. I kept thinking the hook was spinning away from the fish if it was bumped from the side, if you can understand that. I have since caught some on the rear hooks and have also lost a few on them. I have had one break but not at the part that spins, and they could be sharper. Over all, not impressed. Buzz
  3. You have to take the cap off. That comment is as worthless as Mend It.
  4. Absolute junk! Or let me correct that, the container is junk. Got some 2 weeks ago and you have to squeeze so hard that my thumb got sore. Went to use it yesterday and it was to thick to even come out so in the trash it went. Also leaves a white residue at the repair which is rather ugly. The glue itself works pretty good on the bigger main body parts, not so good on small appendages. A wood burning tool with an exacto blade attachment is what I use and it works awesome. Not trying to bash, just telling my experience. Buzz
  5. I'm going to say the trailer simply because I catch more fish when I texas rig a rage or chigger craw than when I put the same craw on a skirted jig. Buzz
  6. http://www.deepcreeklures.net/khxc/index.php?app=ccp0&ns=display&ref=splash These are pretty hot in my circle. And they smell exactly like JJ's and hold that smell forever I think. I highly recommend these. Buzz
  7. Gander Mountain has it.
  8. Voted plastics. When I first started bass fishing I couldn't stand fishing that slow, but now after catching so much on plastics I'm starting to dislike the constant chunk and wind of cranks and spinners. Not to say I don't still throw them if conditions favor them. Buzz
  9. Never thought to try that, but I will now and I,m not tellin' anyone else
  10. 1st choice would be Rage Tail and if I use them up I keep some Zooms handy until I can get to the tackle shop to get more RT's. David, by side rigging do you mean where the hook is coming out where the legs are? Buzz
  11. Since you have some friends that use the RT line, see if you can trade the ones you don't like for some RT lizards in GP or JB depending on water clarity and maybe some craws in Black/Blue. Just a few to try, you WILL catch fish on the lizard. It is by far the best lizard out there, I have caught up to 5 fish before biting the head off and rerigging to catch 2-3 more on the same bait. Try that with a Zoom. Also, the RT toad is second to none and even more durable than the rest. It WILL catch fish. Buzz
  12. I would like dibs on your old wore out 2 bank. PM me with specs and price shipped to NC. Thanks
  13. ME ME ME!!!
  14. That Pelican is a lot heavier than even a 12' jon, just so you know. Buzz
  15. Bent a round eye in spinner wire leaving 1/4" extra going back up spinner wire, then wrapped real small wire around it to keep it in place. I think I may solder that instead though. Buzz
  16. It still has the original ballast in the belly which when you turn it around it's to far back so that's why I went with the weighted bill so it would have a nose down attitude. I float tested it and it rests nose down. So I think it may work. Buzz
  17. Need some help with hook arrangement on this one. Old Bagley's weighted bill is going to be epoxied into rear of lure that I have cut the front bill off. Plan on painting it in a craw pattern. If I run 2 trebles like in pic they will tangle. Thought about cutting off belly hanger and screwing in an eye screw 1/8"-1/4" toward the new bill. Or I could leave belly hanger alone and put a treble on it and a single stinger on the rear leaving the possibility to remove stinger and use as a topwater. Just not sure which way to go. What do ya'll think?
  18. Never store your cranks and spinnerbaits in the same box or this might happen. I didn't want to highjack the spinn-crank thread but here's something else I threw together. Kinda odd looking but I almost think it would work. Buzz
  19. Steve, how ya been? Most of my paints are transparent. the only opaque colors I have are red, white, black and yellow. The transparents are great to slowly get the shade you want without being to stark, plus you can layer 2 or more colors to get new colors. To get the transparent color to look opaque lay down some white first then shoot your trans over that. It will take several coats to reach the true color. Buzz
  20. Just wondering everyones opinion. I would rather repaint a good name brand lure with a known track record than to spend hours painting those $1.50 blanks that don't perform like they should and are worthless. JMO Buzz
  21. That would be a Lucky Craft. Buzz
  22. Bob, your baits always look top notch. We live to close to each other, when you gonna invite me to your shop so I can spend some money that I don't have. Buzz
