To answer earlier questions the deck is a 4 x 8 sheet of 3/8" marine plywood, I cleaned the grease out of the hubs and packed them with marine grease. I have only used it once, I backed it down the bank into a pond like a regular boat trailer, seemed to work ok.

pointhunter75, Thanks for the heads up about the brackets on the back of the boat....I didn't even think of that. One quick question, what were you talking about when you said one side had water in it?

Just got my new Bass Raider 10E Trailer built from Harbor freight, very Handy because it tilts, should make launching from banks a lot easier. Got the ideas from posts on this forum. Thnx

I just purchased a Pelican Bass Raider 10E. Could I please get opinions on a trolling motor. I am torn between a Minn Kota 30 lb thrust 30 inch shaft and a 40 lb thrust 36 inch shaft. I like the idea of a shorter 30 inch shaft but I do not want to under power the boat. Also I am not sure to go with a 27 or 29 series Deep Cycle Battery. I like the idea of the 29 series but it is about 8 lbs heavier....is this negligible for the extended runtime? Thanks, Mark.
