  1. Nice! I'm fortunate that I guess my metabolism allows me certain liberties!! , good drink is one of them!!
  2. If you are overly concerned about calories in your adult beverages, maybe you should try to limit them in other foods instead?
  3. Life is wayyyyy too short to drink light beer!! May I ask why??!!
  4. There are very few people in our lives that we truly call friends, sorry for your loss, prayers sent
  5. Whooped it! Anialated it!
  6. Yea, no. I am now the epitome of sedentary sportsman. Back in the late 70's early eighties I was playing very high level soccer when I tore my first ACL. A total of 3 ACL recons later, I'm happy to move at a brisk pace, mostly in a straight line!! I can and do ride my bike, mostly on paved surfaces with the occasional gravel or dirt thrown in for good measure! It took me a few times to figure out "I'm not as young as I used to be" but still enjoyed the journey along the way!!
  7. Chop, it's only taken 30 or so years to figure out what little I actually know about the rez!!!
  8. It's thought to find them randomly, better chance of finding feeders with a graph for sure!! Not to brag but my partner and I have won the last two tournaments out there with 28 and 24 pounds. The 28 pound day had one close to 7 and another over 6. Bot days had over 20 keepers each day. They will eat if you know how to look for them deep. The last few years we were getting smoked during the summer and made a vow to teach myself how to find them when it's hot!!
  9. Very sad that this thread has regressed to 4 pages back!!! I have been absent from BR for a while but glad to say the res is fishing very well through this heat and those that want to figure out the deep bite, now is the time!!
  10. I guess it depends on how much you enjoy your work, and if you enjoy that company enough to continue doing so. Could you go elsewhere and earn the same money? Would you take a pay cut to work somewhere that doesn't require you to do the things that are being asked of you at your current job?? I don't mean to be disrespectful but couldn't you schedule your drive by's to coincide with another sales call?? Seems a little petty that just because they want you to be making an occasional appearance on a job site where you sold the job, you believe that's overstepping your job description.
  11. Feeling under appreciated at a job you enjoy is not good and like Dwight said will start to show at work. How you discuss your thoughts with your employer is very important. Try not to be that person that's a complainer. Maybe calmly explain that while you understand that the redundancy of the paperwork is required, it could be handled by someone else familiar with the job, freeing you up to generate more monies for the company??!!
  12. Still have to program it, that's where they get you. Certain fobs you can clone, some have to be programmed!!
  13. Thoughts and prayers sent your way
  14. Have you tried a locksmith specializing in automotive work? I'm a locksmith but the auto game was too much to keep up with. Made a choice to stick to the commercial/access control side of things. Shop around with a few, they are usually less expensive than the dealer and sometimes you can haggle for a better price!
  15. Welcome Alex, I would use the search function, lots of info on Lake Anna! Probably one of the most loved lakes here on the forum!! Sam just loves that place!! Nitro probably has the best info on Anna since he fishes it fairly regularly!!
  16. Congrats to you and your wife!!
  17. Take pictures of where you were parked and all the signage around it. You should have an area to check in the ticket where you can object to having been issued the ticket. Submit the photos and a written description to why you think the ticket was given in error. I do a lot of work in Washington DC and made a left turn on to 14th street from the south portion of Pennsylvania Ave and got lit up and pulled over close to the new black history museum. The officer asked me if I made that turn and I replied "yes", then he asked me if I saw any reason why I shouldn't have made that turn on to 14th street. My response was "no, in fact, I think I've done it a number of times." So he grabs my DL, registration and proof of insurance and walks back to the car. I'm thinking what in the blazes is going on!! he comes back and explained to me that he has to give me the ticket and that it's considered a moving violation that is a $200 fine and a point off my liscense. I'm thinking holy hell, my driving record for the last 25 years has been spotless. He then pulls out his phone and tells me to go back to the intersection and take pictures of 2 signs that are very misleading. One of which was a no U turn sign and under the red "do not" part, the arrow of the "no left turn" part was obscuring and covering! The other sign was showing the ability to take a left turn but underneath it described it as having the ability to take that left turn, get this, on the next street!!! The officer helped me out in a huge way and pictures and a written description helped me not only in keeping my driving record in good shape but saved me money in not paying the fine or possible increased insurance!!
  18. It's starting to get good out a little deeper!
  19. Really??!! Hmmmmmm...... I might have to make another visit! Quick question for you Wayne, since you have been fishing there from the get go. Are you finding the fish to follow the bait and suspend? Are you able to successfully target those suspended fish in the summer??
  20. That first pic of the contour map, I know where that is for sure!! That spot in particular on the second day Hunting run was open. A buddy of mine and I had at least a dozen fish over 4lbs from there and with each fish hooked up, at least half a dozen others as big or bigger would follow the fish to the boat!! Truly one of THE most amazing days I've ever had fishing!! That day the water was crystal clear and probably close to 20 foot lower than it sits today!
  21. Some good crappie and some nice size pickerel too!
  22. Hopefully Wayne will see this and chime in! The couple neck down areas headed down to the dam and the couple little feeder areas have done well for me in the past. I can remember where the standing timber was before they brought the water levels up to full pool but am not sure how well I could describe them to you! Sorry! They should have a map at the launch that might give you an idea about areas to try. Ask about the old ponds that were flooded in the process of building the reservoir! It is an amazing fishery but has gone thru some changes in its short life. I wish they had shad as forage there but as of now it's just bluegill, crappie and other sunfishes. Jigs and bigger worms do well on the down lake points.
  23. Do yourself a favor and take the coast guard boater safety course. You need to have that if you plan on fishing above the WW bridge on the Potomac.
  24. That was not the most enjoyable event! You guys did great, congrats on your first "payout!" Ace was smoking you buddy!!!!! Hopedully their will be some hungry post spawners for the next one, then it's on!!!
  25. The shad kill is a tough time of year to catch good fish no doubt. They spawn, get stressed and die. Add to that the quickly raising water temps and it happens on a much larger scale. If I was a top predator like bass are at Sandy, I would take full advantage of easy picking slow fall death spiral shad all day long!! happens on my home reservoir every year as well!!
