  1. It's not four mile run!!
  2. Meh, I've only caught 2 so my experience is limited. Sounds a little fruity but they're just real wiggly!
  3. Thanks Dwight, I've caught bigger and lost even bigger from this body of water but that was my first multi smallie day out there!
  4. Caught a little snakey at a warm water discharge yesterday, man are they cool looking fish!!
  5. Two that I caught after breaking thru 1/2 mile of ice in my little tin to get to the spot!! Not giants by any means but proud of them none the less for an end of December outing in Va!!
  6. I just looked at a snipet of the interview, he has his opinions like anyone else. You know what they say about opinions..............
  7. Glad to hear the news is good! Can't wait to see the baby pic with a Chelsea kit!!
  8. I will never complain about fishing! Lots of things disappoint me about the state of my fishing areas but I take the good with the bad and do what I can to "clean up" after those that take it all for granted!! Oh! Just thought of one thing, time flies exponentially when on the water! Not enough time to get my fix!!
  9. Fishing from shore would be a lot tougher than from a boat. Finding the fish is the key obviously, then adjusting the presentation that gets the most production. From shore I would look for irregularities along the banks and key on those areas. From a boat I would find some of the downed timber and drag bait in, around and thru the limbs.
  10. Slo has it right, I will add Basil Hayden to the mix as well as Bowmans. So many good ones to choose from, I have to say Woodford Reserve has to be my fav with a couple bourbon stones (thanks Robert!) and you are good to go!!
  11. Weed control on some bodies of water as well.
  12. Family in! Hope all is well.
  13. 1- Pay attention, the fish more often than not will clue you in as to what they want and how they want it. Pay attention to the weather, pay attention to nature (birds feeding, activity along the shorelines etc.) pay attention to your presentation, pay attention to your boat position, pay attention to your graph! 2- Make good decisions 3- Always have fun
  14. Truly sad and sorry for your loss, nearly 2 years after y wife and I lost our two dogs and just now starting to think about another one. It takes time, you never wil loose those great memories tho!!
  15. I picked up a couple of spools of the Sunline super natural and really like it, a little pricy but you can find it on sale from time to time.
  16. Hey! He does remember his way home!! Nice to see you back Sonny!
  17. I was lucky enough to fish it a few times before the water level increase and hope to get out there again soon, might even remember where a few are located. The first month or so that place was open was truly an amazing experience!!
  18. That looks like lake down in fredricksburg before they raised the water level!!
  19. Congrats on number 2!! You know what you're doing bud, I'm not gonna teach you much if anything at all!! Might have to take you up on that offer, if you can trailer a boat in there we can jump in my tin!!
  20. As usual Troy, some fine butterballs and always love the vids!! I also cannot believe how big your girl is!! Seems like yesterday you were just talking about getting ready to have her!! She is sooo cute!! Nice job finding those nice creek drops out there!! Good job buddy!!
  21. Still interested as well, like fly said, lots going on right now with the holidays, should start to see interest soon! Keep the faith!!
  22. I've seen him3 times, never ever do I go away not shaking my head saying "wow!"
  23. Depending on location, I'm in!
  24. I may be in the minority here but I like my glass rod for deep cranking. Bigger fish and big head shakes are easier to control with a glass rod. Plus the added bonus of not pulling the bait away from fish at depth helps too! I think with graphit rods I had a tendency to overreact when I got bit!
  25. Good job Jacob! When I say blade bait, I mean like a silver buddy type of bait.
