  1. I will be paying attention for the release of the 6", looks like it could be a game changer!!
  2. Fish points in the 16-22' range! Get off the banks if you want to learn the res. the banks are fun and you will catch fish but never find schools of big fish playing along the banks in the summer!!
  3. Poo stories make me giggle.............. reguardless of age!!
  4. 1995 chevy Tahoe 2 door, 130K miles, pulls my little jonny like a toy, has pulled my buddies 21' skeeter center console just fine as well. All stock, why mess with perfection!!
  5. You can just call him " the chosen one!"
  6. So pretty! Had a blue tick mix, koko, honestly, best dog I've ever had! Have a 7mo. Old puppy now, maple moon! Phenomenal puppy, smarter than any dog I've ever had, smarter than my wife and I, dangerously so!!!
  7. Cute baby, looks a lot like Wayne Rooney!!
  8. Would you think about a dedicated jb rod? If you throw them year round, might be a better option! I have 2 rods specifically for throwing hard body jerk/slash baits. The more I throw them, I find new and better ways to use them all year long. Most of the jerkbait guys here will tell you it's not just a late winter early spring deal!!
  9. K_, I couldn't agree with you more, professional help, if they both want to "make the marriage work" is the best solution. I should not have left that out as an option.
  10. Just turned 50 in April. Just a number, I don't feel that old and I certainly act like a child at times!
  11. The problem is she I waiting for you to "even the score". The woman is mentally broken, you will never be able to fix her by yourself. Sounds like you have reached your limit. Time to move on, I know it's all about the kids and from everything you have posted in the past, I know you have always had their best interest at hand I think you have given this woman every chance and then some. Get an attorney, make it happen.
  12. Copper sulfate is nasty stuff, our water authority uses that on the res we fish that is a water supply for the surrounding counties. Fish go into a bit of a funk after it is applied. Bad thing is when they over treat, that stuff has a half life of about 180 days. We sometimes see it being applied weekly. They have since gone to the liquid version which is more easily assimilated into the water and has a less adverse effect in fishing, at least it seems that way to me!!??
  13. Check out watermelon violet, was a limited color last year but i foud it was stocked again this year.
  14. Bigger fish will normally be waiting under the smaller schooling fish, scrounger will get you those bigger fish.....
  15. I have the TS drop shot rod and like it very much, I've caught several fish over 6 pounds on it and have no complaints for what it does.
  16. I believe they started stocking saugeye(sp) at Anna this year in an effort to establish another gamefish. I think woods and waters had an article about it. You might even be able to find some info at the VADGIF website. I thought Odenkirk had something to do with it.
  17. I know you are country strong Zoff, maybe just 1/2 bowl of Wheeties next time!!
  18. I think when tungsten weight first hit the market, a lot of them had inserts because they had such rough edges where the line entered and exited the weight. This newer generation of tungsten weights seem to be manufactured a little better with smoother bores thru the body. Might just be me but I've switched over to tungsten exclusively and haven't had any problems with them. I think Aaron Martens has a YouTube vid about making inserts for tungsten with shrink tube if you're interested!
  19. Button pusher!!
  20. Better question might be " how do I adjust my thumb?" I just make sure I am using a bait that has a decent ability to skip when fired in there just across the surface!
  21. If you have a glass rod, I would use floro, composite rod, mono. That's what I prefer. Glass rod with mono gives me too much "sponge" and I have a hard time feeling bottom comp and light biters. I have thrown floro on composite rods but had problems pulling hooks from fish??!! A lot has to do with personal preference, I'm just letting you know what works for me so far!!
  22. I think the solution is far more easy that the soil! Slo, you need to talk to your plants, you need to let them know you love them and you will always look out for their best interest! That should be plenty of fertilizer for your garden to produce whatever you want to grow!!
  23. Like Catt said, I have it happen more often while fishing shallower, but yea, the old Mexican stand off, "I think that's a bite....... Is that him?????........ Wait....... No, ........... No that's a snag....... Pffft, out goes the bait....... Yep, that was him..........." That's how it happens to me!! That's when your buddy in the back of the boat says things like "the fish don't have hands" and "hook sets are free"
  24. Do it all the time, such a slight pick up and move off with the bait, the only hint is a change of direction! Happens to me quite frequently, there are days to me that that's how I come to expect the bite!!
