Meh, it's grow to be such a disposable society, as long as there were no injuries, I bet those people thought "no harm, no foul" and just waited to see if the other filed a claim!
It's all good Slo, you did the right thing, even if those involved were soulless robots!!
There are a couple of "gritty" areas nearby. It's all about how everything comes together. Couple piles, water that goes from 12 to 17 to 28 to 38 in about 2 boat lengths. Get the right wind and current, I've had magical days there!!
It's all about the cloudz bro! At least that's what all the hipsters say!!
I'm less than a year into this stuff and much like bass fishing, am only scratching the surface! Yet another hobby to drain my wallet!!
The wife is happy I've stopped smoking, I just have to keep from wanting new stuff!!
I tend to stay out of the creeks this time of year. Deeper main lake points are what I look at during the summer months. If I do ventur into creeks, they are the main ones and I don't go much further than the first third, simply because I am looking for the deeper fish. Doesn't mean you can't catch them in the creeks tho!!
I'm looking to locate bigger groups of bigger fish!!
Riva, the creek down by the dam, Hooes, is a great creek to dissect. Little bit of everything down there!!
Usually upstream from the marina will be better. Narrow water makes them a little easier to target. Don't be afraid to get really shallow up on the flats, any little piece of isolated wood is a good bet! Good luck and let us know how you do!
Soft plastic creature type baits do well pitched to cover works well too!!
As long as the body of water is ok with doing something like that, you should be fine. I know we have Burke lake here in norther va that prohibits tournaments.
Was it just for fun or were you planning on monies being exchanged?
Here, let me dumb it down for you a little. If I were to ask you if food was good to eat? Your response would truly depend on what type of food or where I was going to eat, correct??!!
We don't live in your perfect world where it's all candy and ice cream and everyone gets a trophy. I'm more than willing to share info on every place I've fished in Va and there are plenty of places and people I've been more than generous with in terms of "giving it away" so to speak. I seriously don't need your advice on how I should apply myself here on this forum and if you want to be the welcoming committee, knock yourself out!!
Do you even know anything about Va. fishing let alone the Fredricksburg area?? Why you trolling here???
Well, Sam's second post welcomes NoLuck and I was, and I know Sam was as well, trying to add a little levity.
My first response was an answer to the "use a big brush, paint a big area" question that was made by mr. or mrs. NoLuck.
The OP has a post count of 1............. still has not even responded to a thread he or she started.
Stick around, you will be able to spot the one hitters a mile away!!
Shanes, easy buddy! Sam and many others here are more than willing to help absolutely anyone here. You can't just expect a new member to jump in, hit and run style and expect to get the easy answer. All we want is a little background, the welcome part is essentially a given really!!!
Going to see an old school punk show in DC - Stiff Little Fingers and Government Issue with my little brother!! Can't wait!
Keep your elbows high........
Thanks!! Club record is now just shy of 30lbs!! We had almost 25 a few weeks ago and came in 6th!! Goes to show you there are some quality fish out there!!
With all the heat, they have really started to get out deeper! Keep moving around, when you find them, they are usually good fish. Partner and I won the last FH tournament. Only caught 7 keepers all day but they were the right keepers! 6 fish 23+ lbs!!
