Hey guys thanks j francho, reel mechanic and dr perf. Thanks for all the great info, im going to order some bearings from reel mechanic and get to work on all five of my reels.
Didn't even think about it that way. I guess it's time to get the caliper and start measuring. I.d and o.d should be all the measurements and aswell as the thickness. I'll get measurements and then start my quest again thanks again for all the info guys
I dont know if it is just myself or there are no upgradeable bearins for any of the shimanos. i was lookig at the boca bearings and nothing there. I guess tomorrow im going to try to tear down the revos and cleen them good what oils and grease are recommended and good, high quality? thanks for all the great info so far alberto
Great stuff guys and thanks guess its time to get some schematics and get to cleaning. If available im going to replace the bearings in all reels. Get some bantam oil and go get me some biguns. Any more links or ideas let me hear them
Th ereels that i have that i want to upgrade and make as smooth and as best as they can get are 2 chronarch 50mg, a shimano curado 300e, revo stx, and a revo toro. Im just looking at getting the best parts to give them a tune up and better performance and maybe at the same time make them lighter.
This past weekend we were at a couple of ponds, my son who is 23 months old and his mom were fishing with me. They were not having any luck fishing with artificials so they were getting upset and bored. To keep them interested in fishing I tied on a bopper and some minnows and they caught some little bass, point is I used live bait to keep them entertained and to enjoy fishing. When he gets older and my wife get more knowledge on the tecniques on how to fish plastics and such I'll most likely continue using live bait. For me it'll always be artificial for the challenge and the sport.
thanks for the replys, thats exactly how i had them rigged up just for storage. I was thinking of using the carrot stick and chronarch for my shakey head just cause of the sensitivity and lightness with maybe 10 lb test, or i might just get a spinning outfit. thanks again alberto
