Well i live in wisconsin and the river never freezes over. So when i get the fishing bug in i go to the river and cast around in till I can't fell my hands. I also like to go and find all the bass beds from last year. And they will spawn in the same spot that coming spring.

Well i thought about buying a boat form gander mountian. But i chose not to. Its not becasue there not a real boat dealer. Its because most of the staff in college kids that know nothing about the boats. I think i would buy a little john boat from there. But if i was paying 25-30k for a boat i would go to a dealer. Have him check out this dealer theres one in eagle river and mosinee. They can also get him the baot he wants. I dont own a boat but they were real nice to me down in mosinee. http://www.heckels.com

I voted yes. Its real hard to get a record fish here is wi. The only records that change are the salmon and trout records. They change about every few years due to people fishing lake michigan. But you also need the person that vertify the weight to fill out the app for a state record. the state record small and large mouth havent change in over 55 years. so if i caught a state record i wouold fill out the fourm and get it weighted.

The yamaha is what they told me to get. But the also said mercs are real good.

I just came back form a ranger dealer and they wont sell that motor. I asked them about the e-tech and they said you should get a merc or a yamaha. They said that the power unit on them keeps breaking. Also how munch repairs that they do on the e-techs. They also told me that ranger did a test with all the motors out there and merc and yamaha won the battle. So it looks like iam going to be getting a yanaha or a merc.

Iam looking at geting a boat with in the next year. I have seen the adds about this motor and how people say it so great. They say it has good amount of power. It also has a real good hole shot which dosn't matter to me. And it dosn't suck as munch gas as other motors. As of right now only stratos and ranger boats offer them with there boats. So is this motor really that great or is it all talk? becasue if its all talk i will look at other brands of boats. Please help!

Theres a lot better ways to do this. Get your self a med heavy to heavy bait caster rod. Then i would get a bait caster with no play in the handle so you can get a good hook set. I would also get a spool of 50-80 lb braid. Most frogs can be casted a great distance even with a med heavy to a heavy rod. Hope this helps.

let me add this. Iam fishing from shore and iam catching 3-5 lb smallies. Iam sure if i had a boat i would catch more then a few bass a month.

Well it shocked me that he was fishing. Then i think off all the times i had to spend with my family. when we would go and see them we all had to sit there and be bored. The only thing that we could do was go out side and throw a football around. Then we would get in trouble becasue we would get dirty.

I was fishing a dock this afternoon and a couple of guys pulled up to tralier there boat. Me and guy talked while his buddy got the truck. He talked about the fish he caught and how good he did. I belive this guy bacause theres a lot of large fish were he was fishing. But any way He said that he was from gerorgia i gave him a look and asked arnt there big fish in ga and why come up here. He just laughed and said yes theres big bass there and iam visting family here in wisconsin. But i cant belive it that guys that catch 10 lbers almost ever time they fish would want to catch 3-5 lb smallies.

Iam thinking about getting this as a first boat. i know most of you guys will tell my to start with a john boat But i need a boat that is stable enough for two big guys moving around. What i really like about it is how big all the storge aeras are. But i wont be getting this this summer maybe next summer/winter. I also dont see a need to buy a bigger boat right now. The reason is becasue iam really not sure if iwould want to turn pro. But i will be fishing a lot of club turnnys as soon as i can can aford it and have this boat. But what do you guys think aobut this boat and company? Or should i buy a differnt boat for that price.

Speaking of dangerous. How many seats do you think bill has broken. It seems like every fish is a 500 lb marlin.

I know theres many guys on here that hates bill because he fishes from a stocked lake. But i have learned som munch from his show i relly dont care were he fishes. I also think his and hanks parkers show are two of the best for learning new things. So just let him fish and who cares were he fishes. Iam sure we all have learned a lot from his show.

I use to live in allison. I dont know if you know were it is but its about 40 miles North west of waterloo in butler county. I might have to get down there. Some old class mates want to go fishing with me.

I would try to pitch and flip some plastics in the weeds. But if your havnig luck with a spinner bait keep useing it. Sio good luck on catching the fish.

I would really like to fish with any wisconsin anglers on here. I think it would be a blast talking packers,beer, and fishing. i might get a change to fish with sfc_al in a few months. But the guy i really want to fish with is hawg hunter. i use to live in iowa and have never seen bass that big in that state. But the guy i really like to fish is a guy thats not even a member of this fourm that i know of. But this rivily gos back ten years. We only get to fish for about a week a year but its still good fishing. He a fensse guy while iam a power guy. He likes the bears while iam packer fan. So you can guess what we talk about. But when were not fishing were all about the packer bear games and whos going to win.

Ten pound test and a spinning ros are never good around pads. If you can afford it i would buy a med heavy to heavy bait casting rod. Make sure the rod has a enough back bone to pull this fish out. Then go out and buy a bait caster with no play in the handle so you can get a good hook set. I would also get a spool on braid 50-80 lb test should work. But if you cant afford the set up i told you about. Any soft plastic will work. You will also want a lot of bullet weights, and if the cover is really thick you would want to peg the weight to the line. Or you can buy them weights that screw in to the baits. But if you dont like to fish plastics you could use a plastic frog. I hope this helps.
