  1. Does anyone have the link, I must be missing it up top?
  2. Looking to add a few quality buzz baits to my arsenal. Do we have a sponsor here that makes some that someone can vouch for or does someone have a suggestion on places to order some good buzz baits? Thanks.
  3. Roboworms are the only worms I will drop shot. I love them. I have went through multiple packs a day. Aarons Magic, Hologram Shad and Oxblood crawler.
  4. I have a few Rat-l-traps I throw occasionally. Mostly throw the XR50's or the Red Eye shads.
  5. I have gotten so much help and info. From lines, poles, and lures to habitat and location. But I think the single best thing I have learned to to be PATIENT.
  6. Right now I have large spools of 12# and 15# Yozuri. I rarely fish water deeper than 10-12 feet. I am in usually moderately weedy waters here in the northeast. I have to contend with slime rockets a lot. So I would be throwing say 1.5 and 2.5's as well as 1/2oz and 3/4 lipless cranks.
  7. What size/type of line are you guys using on your crankbait poles when throwing cranks from 1/2 - 3/4 oz? I am thinking I may go with Yo Zuri soft in 15 lb test, am I on the right path? Will this work with shallow, medium and deep cranks? Would a mono, floro, or braid be better suited?
  8. Also, remember there has been crazy weather all over causing shipping delays. It has been insane up here in NY.
  9. It is a Quantum Energy PT spinning rod. Anyone know anything about them?
  10. ok, I think I might have it figured out. I am leaning towards the: Falcon Bucoo Spinning rod - 7' Medium Medium/fast Taper Denali Jadewood casting rod - 7' Medium - Cranking Moderate Taper Does anyone have any experience with them?
  11. Ok, with all that said, I guess I am looking for a medium to medium heavy, 7', moderate action pole for crankbaits and topwaters....running copoly
  12. Probably going to go with a copoly like yozuri in 12 or 15 lbs. I don't care for braid on topwaters, I always seem to tangle the hooks in the braid.
  13. OK, I have MH with a fast tip that I use for pitching/flipping. Doubling that up and throwing spinnerbaits on that makes sense. Will a Medium with moderate action work for cranks and topwaters maybe?
  14. Do I have the wrong thought process that I can throw cranks and spinnerbaits on the same rod?
  15. That is kinda what I was looking for. I get off track and overwhelmed looking at all the options. I figure if I get a few quality suggestions from the brain trust around here I would have a direction and comparison base.
  16. LOL, nice, stamps. Any particular brands or rods stick out in your mind from your own use?
  17. Cool. Actually no, my fishing summer went to crap last year. Boat crapped in spring. Car gave me nothing but problems and I ended up getting tricked into coaching girls little league all summer. This year will be different though, lol.
  18. Ok, you open up Tackle Warehouse knowing you need 2 new poles, 1 casting, 1 spinning. The spinning rod will be used for tubes, worms, occasional small crank. The casting rod will be used for spinnerbaits, cranks. Now you are wanting to spend somewhere around 80-120 on the rods (a piece). What would you do? What would you do?
  19. Nice, any pics to show what the box looked like to start? We gonna keep a running log again?
  20. Is this still moving or did it even start?
  21. You know, when my wife complains about the amount of tackle, I just show her threads like this and it puts it all into perspective for her, lmao!
  22. I have some of those same Coors lite lures, they always seem to produce, but I seem to run out of them on every fishing trip. ;D
  23. Not to sound like a noob or dummy, what are: Shallow crankbait: LC (RC) 1.5, 2.5, Norman Fat? I assume they are lucky craft baits, but which ones? Thanks again guys.
  24. Thanks so much! RoadWarrior, I have to say that all the information you have given me over the last several years has been spot on. I owe probably 80% of my bass catch to your advice. Well except the Rage Tail products, just can't seem to get anything to look at them. I have learned through trial and error that sometimes it is true, you get what you pay for. I just want to get one or two of this and that and started to get overwhelmed by all of the choices. Not everyone that sells there stuff for a higher prices is worth it.
  25. I am finally going to upgrade my equipment. I bought a lot when I first started 4 years ago. I have slowly replaced items with nicer tackle as I learned techniques, what I like to throw and what works. Can anyone give me insight on some of the more "pricey" offerings so I get stuff that hooks the fish and not the fisherman, lol. I have used a lot of Rapala and BPS stickbaits, cranks (both lipped and lipless) topwaters etc..... How do these players stack up? Megabass Lucky Craft River2sea Yo-Zuri I know this is all opinion, just looking to get a feel before I jump in. Thanks a lot guys!
