  1. I love the stuff. If nothing else, I know it covers the smell of my sent that gets on the bait when I handle them. I don't mind the smell, and it is no worse than touching a pickerel, lol. And is sure smells better than Gulp. We call that stuff daytime hooker.
  2. They are the only ribbon tails I carry. I love black shad, red shad and pumpkin in the 6".
  3. Guys, does your preference change when you only shallow crank?
  4. Also, hold the bait up to a lamp or other light source and you will get a better idea of the true color.
  5. Nice job, for the most part. At least there were no bags of poop this time, lol. People may complain that there wasn't much in there, but it looked like everyone for the most part got the idea this time around. If you would of seen the last box, you would lose your mind. I look forward to the next one. But I absolutely believe that if you are going to participate, you list your puts and takes and take a picture. Great job guys. Way to set the record straight.
  6. I have had the fit over Cocoons and I just got the spring loaded Cocoons that slip on. The fit overs were fine and did block a lot of light. But I couldn't stand the two glasses thing. I went with the Cocoons with the spring in the middle and I like them. I don't feel like I am wearing extra now, but they do let in more light that the fit overs. But not to the point where they are annoying. Hope that helps.
  7. The picture looks to me like the line was put on backwards. I have been using Yo-zuri hybrid in 6 and Yo-zuri soft in 12 and 15 lb for several years now and love it.
  8. I love jerkbaits. I use them year round. Anywhere fish are suspended, have wide open water or a weed line I am trying to stay above. I will grab a square crankbait if I want to deflect off of cover and bounce the bottom if the fish are holding tight. I throw the lipless when I want to rip through weed cover that isn't too heavy to get that reaction bite. Most the time I won't even bother throwing them in open water.
  9. You know, I seen those, after I had already placed the order for the speed worms, lol. But I eventually grab some, lol.
  10. I have best luck with the Keitech impacts. Then I would say the LF shads (3.5"). Money minnow's last. But I love the keitech's. I use them a lot on darter head type jigs. But I love them so much I started trying them in all ways and found that I really like them on swim jigs or chatter baits as well. I almost forgot, I picked up zoom speed worms to try with them this year. Experimenting if fun when it pays off.
  11. I think like you, I am trying to imitate a bait fish. I like to use keitech's and lake fork shad's. I have even tried soft body swimbaits like money minnows.
  12. Thanks Daniel. I usually use LC's or X-raps but I wanted to grab a few more stick baits, especially a trout colored one and I came across these. I may have to order a few and check them out. Thanks.
  13. Has anyone used these? Quality? Do they run true? Any insight? Thanks
  14. I own mostly LC's anymore, but I still have a few X-raps that I use. You just have to buy several x-raps, find the ones that actually suspend and return the others. With LC, I usually don't have to worry, they all run true.
  15. I hate you guys. I have been looking for a good smaller trout swimbait for the smallies.
  16. You cannot beat a Roboworm, 4.5" straight tail worm. I also like the Roboworm alive shad, 3", or a tiny fluke. I will use 3" senco's or a tiny fluke.
  17. Ugh, I still have stuff I need to part ways with as the bait monkey like to make me buy stuff he knows I won't use. So either I do this or just look for trades in the flea market. UGh.......What is everyone else looking to move? I still have (all are NEW, some not in package): Lucky Craft Ricky Clunn square bill 3.5 2 Rapala DT's Rapala shad rap Rapala Xrap xr10 Strike King Sexy swimmer 2 Packs Rage tail shads 2 Packs Rage tail smoking roosters Spro BBZ-1 shad swimbait That is what I can think of off the top of my head.
  18. Not for nothing, but I am sorry, I seen the stuff, I don't buy it. Here is what I seen based on the items you circled: Top Waters - beat up, spinners wouldn't spin, rusty hooks Swimbaits - Trout top fin ripped off, other bait had rips in between the segments Lipless cranks - beat up, paint missing (1 looked to be a new BPS trap) Lipped cranks - Not too bad overall, 1 was slightly scratched and the other was a BPS dollar bin lure. Stick baits - Small Rapala was ok. Other was just stained and scratched. Btw, I put tape on every single treble hook to make sure things were not ending up in a ball. Bass Pro shop case was warped and dirty. I actually washed it out as it has soft plastic residue of some kind greasing the whole thing up. Soft plastics were ok. The culprit worms actually had a watermelon worm in with the pack. And then there is "missing plastic" that have to be sent out now? I know the box was full. But all you have to do is squeeze the box and tape it shut. Trust me, there was much more in the box last year. Not really trying to be mean. Just pointing out that I don't think things were done with respect. And definitely not fair to those that started the box.
  19. Speed, those are my feelings, too.
  20. I purposely left that cause I thought no one would believe me unless they seen it.
  21. I completely understand and know what you mean. Not fair at all to fishn.
  22. Ok, I wanted to make sure I wasn't being over-critical. I had the desire to throw a lot of it out. But I figured it wasn't my call. I know you threw out the bag of poop that was in there. > But you are right some of it was so bad no one would want it. I will say this, looking back through the progression, I can say this much, the person that took the baitcaster, did not did not do the right thing!
  23. Did the box arrive alright? What are your thoughts?
  24. I haven't used the fats, but I use the regular ones all the time. Great bait, but have some glue as they are very soft.
  25. Hey guys, Sorry about the delay. Didn't get a chance to take pictures until Sunday. Wife dropped package in the mail this morning. I have pictures of the original contents, then I have pictures of my takes and puts. I was disappointed by the condition of a lot of the stuff. Stuff with rusty and or broken hooks, teeth marks and paint missing. Swimbaits that are torn. Just felt overall that there was a lack of respect and that the condition of the items put into the package didn't match the quality/condition of the items that were being removed. There was a lot of good, cool stuff last year and this year was not the same for sure. I tried to throw more in than I took to help with the situation. If anyone has any questions on the pictures, ask away..... Original Contents: My Takes: My Puts:
