  1. got laid off April 1st, bass fished everyday for about 2months.(with some cat fishing thrown in) Now i sit on the back porch with my neighbor drinking beer BSing and bobber fishing for what ever will eat a worm ;D and watching all my other neighbors bass fish.
  2. use begals, chum the crap out of the water, wait for the to come annd start eating then toss your hook out with a peice of begal and try not to spook them.
  3. crankbaits that float.
  4. forgot about the catfish catchin showdown i had with my buddys daughter. i caught a cat released it, hooked it again, and released it, then i hooked it again all within 30mins. we know it was the same one cause it was maybe a pound and the hook damage was on it in both spots(3 time everytime i hooked it deffernt) i am reminded of this because it was 3-3 until i hooked the fish again, then released, and hooked it again. Its a big balls out argument between us. she says "catching the same fish dosnt count!" i say "you watched me release it and if it jumped back on it counts." the battle will never end until we do it again. ;D
  5. at the end of the year last year, pretty much any bass that i caught in my condos pond and probably 4-5 existing hook holes.
  6. my thoughts. could deffenatly have been fished out. Probably a few years back. We got alot of apartment complex around town that have ponds that used to have fish in them. but with easy public access and no one keeping an eye on them, people who live there, and most probably people who dont live there have come in and wiped it out. now every 5yrs or so the fishin gets good again but as soon as word gets out, they come back and rape it again. We have chased several people off the pond behind my condo this year. One guy even showed up every day for 4 days and was taking everything and anything he caught out of the pond. It finnaly took us calling the cops before he stoped coming back. Also if you goto the public lakes youll notices plenty of anglers doing that exact same thing, thats why they got to constantly stock them. these are just my thoughts ;D
  7. 3/0 circle hooks, couple 1/2oz weights and good strong pole with heavy line. bait: ive had success on worms, bait o shrimp, minnows, and recently caught me a small blue gill and hooked him up threw him back in and pulled out a 12# cat all in about 30mins. pretty much toss it into a hole and wait.
  8. hahahaha just went to an early opening of a garage sale. droped $60 got 3 tackle boxes a dozen spinners(some brand new and name brand) a dozen bags of plastic worms, a ton of hooks and sinkers, and a fishing pole. ;D
  9. i bought one, didnt like it.
  10. a neighbor of mine passed away this past winter. his wife is having a garage sale and is gonna sale all of his fishing gear. He gots a single car garage packed full of fishing gear and a shed in the back yard over flowing with gear. needless to say ive been saving and saving and trying not to buy anything from the store so i could aquire a ton more crap next weekend.

  12. kansas is $20 for a 2 pole +$12 for trout +$5 for 3 pole and huge fine for catching a trout without the license, or so i been told(never caught one)
  13. well i went today and got me another one, and then had to by the wife one cause she wasnt catching as many as me that day. and also got some 6# line for my rod. walked around the pond with the wife durring a break in the rain, didnt see it up on the shore (lure that is) but the wife out fished me and she found someone elses crank bait on the shore ;D
  14. Oh the horror!!! :'( Was fishing a YO-ZURI($8) it was the small sized one, freakin was killin em with it in the pond twitching it like a dieing minnow. Probably got hit 20 times and realed in about 10. thats normal since its got small hooks. Then it happend. BAM!!! I nail the monster of the day, with 4# line he put up a decent fight. Finnaly got him to shore, and rolled him onto the bank into a puddle. I go down to grab his lower lip when he gave a good hard flutter. i pulled my hand back as to not get the hooks jammed into my hand, the line on the rod goes limp and the fish jumps back into the water. Lost the big one of the day and the $8 lure, all because i was to lazy to cut a bit of line and re-tie the lure :'( dont let this happen to you!!!! ;D
  15. crank baits that float!
  16. a buddy of mine took me fishing 3yrs ago for catfish. i had to have his daughter take the fish off the hooks for me. after watching alot of videos TV shows and ofcourse this web site, i am a whole lot better. to bad i got laid off or else i would of had me a boat :'(

  21. thank you, ive learned a TON about fishing from this site.
  22. Thank you, gonna have to pick up some more lures ;D , we know theres bass in it, as the guy who lived there before was a pro and always brought his tourny fish home and threw them in there.
  23. went to my buddys pond the other day for the first time, and his pond has mud color water, visibility about 1/4 of an inch, if that. what would work in this water and does color of the lure mean anything?
