  2. I got one in earlier this week and took it out yesterday. It had no problems throwing 5" Trick Sticks weightless. It was nice, smooth and the dual breaking works great. As long as it is paired up with the right rod I don't think you would have any problems throwing light lures of any kind.
  3. I've used them for the past year and haven't noticed any wear or breaks. I think they hold a good amount and keep it well organized.
  4. Talked to St. Croix and they recommened I send it in using their Gold Star Plan. Their rep did not give me a set price but said the repair would be no more than $50 and I would have to pay shipping both ways. The local guy said he would do it for $20 plus the cost of guides (going with alconites on just the top 4), so I left it with him. I decided I'll just put the money I would have spent on the upgrade toward a new rod. Maybe a nicer St. Croix or I might even see what all the fuss G.Loomis creates is about. Thanks for all the replies. I've been lurking on the forums forums for a little over a year and think its a great place. Pancho
  5. I have a Mojo Jig-n-Worm Rod that I fish almost daily. It is one of my favorite rods. This past weekend I had a brain fart and reeled a swivel through the top 4 guides and trashed the inserts. I've talked to a local rod builder about replacing all the guides with Fuji Titanium Framed SiC guides. Would putting these guides on this rod be a waste of money? Should I just send it to St. Croix? Your thoughts and suggestions would be much appreciated.
