  2. Both wires, black and red/light blue
  3. I let the original power cable slip into the hole. I have been unable to reach it. The hole is out of frame to the right. The cable is somewhere inside the boat between the bow and the console.
  4. I spoke with the most local dealer to me, about an hour away in NC. He said some models did have additional wiring for accessories. I was able to find 1. Have you ever heard the one about trying to fit 10 lbs in a 5 lb bag? The years for me being able to fit under the console and working comfortable are LONG past in the rear view mirror!
  5. I own a 2011 1756SC. There is a wire that ends up at the bow, near the front navigation light. It's an unconnected spare for accessories, per a conversation with a G3 dealer. Problem is, I can't find the other end. Not on the fusebox under the console or at the battery tray in the bilge. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  6. It actually happened to me when I was a field tester for one of the major brands. Baitcasting and spinning. Every one, I think it was about 15. They give you the time you need to do so effectively and correctly. If I recall correctly it was at least 6 months, probably closer to 8. They don't want smoke blown up their skirts or happy talk. If something doesn't feel right, you are to tell them. If something doesn't work right, you are to tell them. It's a pretty intense thing.
  7. If you have used Daiwa L & T's or "S" rods, Falcon rods or some St. Croix models, the Veritas is comparable. If you have used some other rods, the actions may be a bit more manly.
  8. You thought the Maytag repairman had a lonely life?
  9. I just received a new 2013 Premier and STX to field test. Can't wait for this weekend ...
  10. Daiwa considers Banax good enough to make some of their reels.
  11. Unless you really need to save that additional ounce for something more essential for your time on the water, the Revo Premier is fine.
  12. Ultra mag plus, about 5.3:1 rr ... oh yeah, lifetime warranty
  13. Veritas 7' M/M regular or Winch
  14. Contact the vendor you purchased it from. They may have records of your transaction and provide you with that info.
  15. The one near me expaned their selection of rods, reels and baits. Not great but much better. I don't think anybody mentioned it but the reason Walmart dumped their tackle sections was one of the corporated officers was knee-padding Lewinsky style for a certain animal rights org. When he got the boot, they decided to bring back outdoor sports.
  16. Just wanted to resurrect this chestnut ... I'm not averse to dropping coin on JDM baits, OSP, Megabass, Imakatsu, Jackall, etc. but I got late to the Lucky Craft rodeo, never had much success early on with them but I figured to try them out again. I tried a couple other less expensive brands as well, the Xcalibur 100 and the RC2. The LC RC and the RC2 are not exactly the same in body style/build. I tossed the RC2 a few times right out of the box and picked up some fish bouncing the bait off chunk rock. First thing I did when I got home was put Owner 36BC Xs. The fish seemed to like them and they stood up to the chunk rock gauntlet. I won't stop purchasing the upper echelon of the baits but I'll pick a couple of RC2s.
  17. For what you would pay for a Steez you could get a Megabass or Evergreen rod, both much better in my experience.
  18. Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 5500C, Christmas 1974. I was 13 years old.
  19. The Daiwa Certate is heavier and more expensive than the Premier. I used the Certate before I used the Premier. I also use a Patriarch. The Premier and Patriarch are two totally different categories of spinning reels.
  20. It's a solid reel. If weight is concern, you can move on. If performance is more important, it should be a consideration.
  21. Abu Garcia's Villain series has a 6'9" ML power MF action. I used it in both prototype and production models. The weight range is 1/8-1/2 oz and 6-10 lb test. It worked well for jerkbaits, light shallow cranks, smaller topwaters and a few other bait types. MSRP is $179 but I've seen it from reputable dealers for $139.
  22. I don't know why I wrote caudal. I know the caudal is the tail fin. That's what happens when you don't proofread.
  23. I guess you don't have yellow perch in your area, which have orange caudal fins. Crawfish also have orange coloration.
  24. Daiwa Whisker 1300SS ... the only drawback is the lack of infinite anti-reverse.
  25. I think you would be fine with the Vendetta 6'9" rod for jigs and worms. I didn't like the Vendetta 7' crankin' rod. There is a crankbait specific Veritas rod, actually 2.
