  1. Without going into to much detail, I had a life changing medical situation occur when I was 27. I was born with the condition that caused it but it didn't become symptomatic until that time. From 27 to 42, I had about 30 jobs, 2 of which were long term 4 years and 2 years. I went to a technical school hoping I would be able to freelancer but even that didn't work out. I was forced to go on permanent disability because it was difficult to find a job and when I could find work, the medical condition would flair up and out the door would be I. I would trade my current situation to shovel ***** against the tide with a teaspoon for a dollar a day.
  2. The old style (read Made In U.S.A.) Bomber 7A in fire tiger was a MUST HAVE!!! on the Hudson River. It was almost a powder-coat finish and it was a producer. Great stuff, good times.
  3. I'm running Safari, will that program run on mac?
  4. Toray 22# test, Varivas 15#, Berkley. Leader or no leader it's the way to fly
  5. Is anybody else experiencing the forum being irritatingly slow loading? I'm set to accept cookies, cleaned the cache. let the cache fill, etc. Thanks
  6. Every single company that warrants their product includes the "cost" of the warranty in the price of their product. It has nothing to do with "commies", it's just the way business is done. That's my point. If someone wants a warranty, let them pay for it.
  7. At least they are honest about it. I wouldn't trust a company that hides the price of cost in the price of the rod and spreads the cost between everybody who purchases the rod. If you never have to use the warranty, you're still carrying part of the load for someone who breaks it under questionable circumstances. I've heard those who support such a practice as "rod commies". I hate commies and I hate rod commies even more.
  8. 1. The gift option for PayPal and what protection it provides the buyer? Close your eyes and what do you see? Nothing, the same protection it gives the buyer. 2. 4% is fair to cover the PayPal fee. You don't want to pay it, send a money order. It's no different than paying interest on a credit card.
  9. I have no recommendation but I will make a prediction ...http://www.bassresource.com/fishing-forum/Templates/Forum/default/rolleyes.gif
  10. Okay, so I have it reversed. My reason was based upon this passage from the Owner's Manual: Be sure to slide the brake weights inward on their pins before re-assembling your reel. Thanks for your assistance on that! Actually what they meant in that statement. Is to make sure that you move the brake weight (block) you have turned on (un-locked), move them sightly toward the spool shaft (do not lock them).. This will keep them from jamming when the side plate is re-installed, and, you won't damage any of the blocks... Tight Lines!!! Thanks on that

  12. Just received a 2010 Revo Premier with the dual braking system. I looked at the owner's manual and searched on-line for the proper position for brake pins for on and off. I'm presuming when the brakes are pushed loose they are off, when they are snapped in, they are on. Can I get a confirmation on that? Thanks
  13. They must have increased the prices of everything. Pure Fishing sells by website through contracted vendors.
  14. He's blaming it on a one-armed man
  15. Nope, I think you got 'em all. glider rigged
  16. I've been using the 6'9" for light pitchin'. Spider jigs, grubs, jigs with beaver.
  17. The description has changed so I don't know what that means. Is it a the same? Is it different? Make up your own mind, look at the package though.
  18. I'm doing some follow-up now. Will post ASAP. The original information came from a Japanese vendor website.
  19. I'm a fair to middlin' topwater angler and the Rio Rico showed me nothin'. I like the 1/2oz Pop R and I'm happy they were put back into production. Megabass' Pop X is also a strong producer. The Yellow Magics that come from Japan are NOT the same as the ones that are sold by distributors in the States. One of those deals where the some guy trademarked the name.
  20. If that is the case, this has been personal. Is there any doubt he wasn't the instigator of the Kevin Langill bout?
  21. You know what they say about opinions!
