  1. I’ve had my G3 for almost 10 years. It’s a good boat. Well designed. Well built. What prevents it from being a great boat? Customer service. Getting information, feedback, assistance AIN’T HAPPENING. Everything goes through a dealers network. Wonderful for the dealer. Leaves the customer in the cold.
  2. The O.S.P. HPF and HPF Spec. 2 are the cheetos!
  3. I believe the last thing I said to you was “Knock’em dead” I believe you did! Way to go!
  4. OEM now, not when first designed. Embraced in Japan, disdained in the States.
  5. Have you found that to be the case across the entire REVO line or you’re not sure?
  6. Abu engineers have designed some of the more advance reels produced. It’s a good thing they manufacture the REVOs in Korea or you wouldn’t be able to afford them. Abu also has a higher status in Japan than in America.
  7. Largemouth Bass; an In-Fisherman handbook of Strategies I’m looking at impoundment types and wondering what type would Lake John V. Robinson in Greer/Taylors, SC would be considered. hill-land or flat-land would be my guess. Any other ideas? Thanks
  8. Never forget the monkeys that live in Ocala. The had to expand the park because the monkey population grew. The monkeys can bite and they can carry Herpes B. They are also researching the possibility of chimpanzees there as well.
  9. Carolina Skiff is NO longer producing kit boats under 20’ due to Coast Guard regulations, per email.
  10. Thanks. Just sent them an email.
  11. I had a buddy who had a 14’ Carolina skiff type boat quite a few years back. Does anybody make something like that anymore? Thanks
  12. Thanks for that. I didn't even want to get into glare!
  13. I did a search to see if there were any tips to prevent from FURTHER scratches on my Humminbird HELIX5 screen. Do they have plastic screen protectors available or has anyone here made something? Thanks
  14. Your point being?
  15. If you don't watch it, how do you know whether or not it's a "dink fest"? Berkley Big Bass was over 8 pounds. There were a lot of fish over 4 lbs.
  16. What are you thoughts about tournament organizations paying their contestants pennies on a dollar to compete for their own entry fees? You know, ethically, speaking?
  17. The bass were a bit heftier on today's (10/12/19) Lake Conroe tourney
  18. I don't know where people get the idea about MLF being a dinkfest. I've watched every episode of the Cups, the Selects, the CBS tourneys and the streamed BPT and what I've seen is anglers, pro anglers, doing what they do best, catch fish. They match the techniques and tackle to the conditions they encounter. It's a matter of when in Rome. One of the most boring things about streamed tournaments is pretending that watching a guy dropping a tube in a nest for 2 hours is exciting. It's not. Honest people admit it's not.
  19. Why on God's Green Earth would MLF go backwards to a "best 5" model? The whole point of MLF is to see guys catching fish, not weighing in. You would figure Randy Blaukat would pipe in with some support with the conservation aspect of MLF. Think about that tournament of a few years back where Mike McClelland drove 6 hours and fished 2 hours. Did those fish get returned to where they were caught? The reduced impact on the fisheries alone is a light year leap in the right direction. Another impact on fisheries? Smaller venues with smaller fields reduce fishing on overfished big name bodies of water. People start to think about other vacation options to fish and go to smaller lakes and spend time and money in less populated areas. This is "Growing the sport" without placing additional burden on overused resources.
  20. I've been a fan of pro bass fishing since I was a teen in the early 70s. I think MLF is just what the doctor ordered. The pros are the guys making the money off their sweat. It's a wonderful thing when people decide to shape their own destiny. You think B.A.S.S. cares about the anglers? B.A.S.S. cares about two things: Bottom. Line.
  21. MLF is dynamic. In 8 years it's growth has multiplied. B.A.S.S., while not quite anemic, is playing with a business model that relies on old tech. I would rather watch ALL fish being caught, not just 10% showing off their top 5. People choose to forget the empty sacks and 12"/14oz fish brought across the B.A.S.S. stage.
  22. For relaxation fishing these days SO ... Is the internal GPS unit acceptable? Thanks
  23. I've been fishing for many years. In the past year, I've decided to learn to fish a Chatterbait. Picked up a few different patterns and a few different trailers. Still have not picked up my first fish on this bait, mostly because I haven't dedicated the time to do so. I'll get one soon.
