  1. their letting it go for 260 and the msrp is around 520. I think im gonna pull the trigger tommarow.
  2. My local boater's world has a steal of a deal on a eagle fishelite 640c. I've never really heard of the brand eagle before and can't find any reviews on the 640c. Does anyone here have any experience with this model, likes, dislikes, easty to use? Also do i need a navionics chip to access the gps/chartplotter feature? Thanks in advance.
  3. Those were the kind of people i was targeting. Thanks again for all your help. Just an idea i had because its hard to find a part time job down here with something you love doing.
  4. Hey i was wondering if you guys thought my idea was any good. Please be open minded and tell me what you think, ups and downs: So i was thinking a lot of people are starting to drive hybrids and smaller cars due to the economy and still want to boat/ fish. I was thinking offering my service for the people who still want to boat/ fish who: do not own a tow vehicle, do not live on the water, do not know how to work the boat ramp, do not want to deal with the hassles of trailering a boat, and want to hop in their boat and go. My idea is i come to the client's house and pick their boat up with my truck and tow it to the boat ramp, either they come in my truck or meet up with their car. I launch the boat and make sure everything is a ok for them, I leave, drop the trailer off at either their property or mine (only if i have more clients that day). They call me about 20-30 minutes before they arrive at the ramp. I pull the boat out and drop it off for them, while they continue with the rest of their day. I do not know if i would offer a quick wash/ flush yet, still thinking it through. The most clients i could handle a day would probably three max. I would only do this on Saturdays and Sundays because i have school (high school). I wanna know what you guys thinks, any flaws i haven't thought of. I would probably need some special insurance when trailering the boat, if you guys could help me out with that. I know this is a big responsibility, but i wanna know what you guys think. Think like you are one of those people i states earlier. I use a public boat ramp 3-4 times a month so i know what to do. Thanks again!
  5. is it just me or whereever you hook these nasty things they always bleed? even if you hook them in the proper area? i always get bleeders and yours looks a little bloody too, anyone know why?
  6. call your local fwc see if they can come down and make sure their doing everything right, have licenses, and green cards
  7. lightest four stroker you can buy
  8. from my experience id go with a jon. both have their ups and downs. jon boat i think has more room, motor capable, takes boat wake much better than a pontoon boat. Only downside is once it gets heated up its impossible to sit on/ lift out of the water without gloves or anything.
  9. new suzuki df's>big 3 smaller, lighter, cheaper, better gear ratio
  10. harpoon and surf rod
  11. a 10' jon boat, trailer, battery, trolling motor, and gear is about 300 lbs if that, like others said youd probably not even feel it driving your car. But putting a hitch on a car is about 120 bucks and then wiring? Roofing it is gonna be alot more hassle and if you go by yourself its gonna be even more trouble. If the wheel wells are wide enough in the forester id try putting it in there, but then the interior would get wet/ dirty. my friends 12 jon boat in my 6ft truck bed
  12. yea your not the first one the t bag actualy didnt come with the boat, i bought it extra. it holds life jackets so you have more storage on the boat
  13. Recently got all the paperwork done and took it out the other day. Not much of a bass boat, but we got her for real cheap. Its a 97 mako 171 with a 99 evinrude 115 sitting on a 2004 ez loader trailer. Boat is in really good condition for its age! Really excited as it is my first boat. Gotta start saving up for saltwater gear :-/ There is some mild oxidation on the aluminum on the t-top. I was wondering if anyone knew any ways to take this off? i already tried mcguiars metal wax, no luck. I was thinking of wet sanding it, what do you think?
  14. we closed the deal on the boat. My dad brought all the equipment to do the compression test but the plugs were too deep down. We took a test drive and the motor seemed pretty strong. Its not much of a bass boat but its pretty nice though, 17ft mako 171 with a t top and full electronics( stereo plate needs to be replaced). Gotta start saving up for salt water gear :'(. Ill get pics up tommarow! Its my first boat too ;D
  15. did he make it in time for weigh-ins?
  16. i don't get it, how do you sell a boat if you don't have the title to it? If someone could explain how that works.
  17. Hi, im planning on getting a boat with a 2000 rude 115 on it and before i close the deal i wanna do a compression test on it. Does anyone know what that psi each cylinder should be for this motor or anything close to this? Thanks in advance!
  18. kistler magnesiums and abu garcia revos are all you need. If your trying to save some money id recomend buying the reels used, but i always try to by my rods brand new.
  19. i just got some sebile magic swimmers and a spro bbz-1 shad. I was wondering how these do in salt water. I was wondering if it was bad for the joins, if theyll rust out or not.
