  7. had a great trip! my dad caught a bunch of largemouth, 2 pickerel, and 2 HUGE crappies while i only caught one 15-16 inch largemouth and had a really big hit (maybe a muskie ) on my swimbait. We caught them on mimic minnows (perch color) in the tiniest size! the big hit came on a much larger version. had a lot of fun and our gear worked great! ;D

  16. LMB 23 inches, 7.5 lbs (pa) SMB 20 inches, 4.0 lbs (canada) Bluegill 12 inches (wv) Crappie 10 inches (PA) Channel Cat 25 inches 5 lbs (pa) Pickerel 16 inches (pa) Perch 14 inches (canada, they are huge there!!) The smallmouth was the beastiest thing i have ever had on! I have also lost sheepshead over 25 lbs! (ohio)
  17. i wadefish the Susky a couple times per summer and i have found 2 great ultralight patterns. 1 is a Gold Flame Pins Minnow, jerk it while reeling, simply let it float back up, you can catch a ton of smallies! 2 is a bumblebee rooster tail, you can burn it right under the surface, slow roll it mid-depth, or bump the bottom with it. I have found these to be killers in shallow water for smallies! (the rooster tail works great in all depths though) Also, for a bigger fish or 2, try a bomber fat a in crawfish color rooted along the bottom. And topwater, a heddon tiny torpedo fits the bill quite nicely!
  18. awesome fish! i would say that shes somewhere in the vicinity of 5.5-6.5 lbs, CONGRATS!
  19. hey guys, i may be heading off to fish Rose Valley lake (pa) next week and wondered if any of you guys have fished there lately?? if so, what are they hittin?? thanks, we do have a boat, trollin motor, and a fishfinder to help out

  21. baitfish, thats what smallmouth love to eat around sandy areas. My 4lber came off a sandy shoal. But then my bros 4lber came off of a rocky ledge. I would say fish both and see what happens! use a craw on rocks and a mr twister/ baitfish imitator on sand!
  22. 20" 4lbs even, Wolf Lake, Ontario. My bro just caught a 4lb 1 oz at MillSite Lake, New york! We both caught them on chartreuse Mr. Twisters! ;D
