  1. It looks almost exactly like the old BPS David Friits cranking reel. I had one, it would cast a mile. The BB1 in the 5.1:1 has a dual pawl type anti reverse, basically the handle will slip back about 1/8 turn and catch. Fritts says that this feature is essential to feeling the crankbait.
  2. Here is a link to big fish sports, they are having a sale right now on 600yd spools, 8.99 and free shipping. http://www.ebay.com/itm/YO-ZURI-HYBRID-Fluorocarbon-Fishing-Line-600yd-ANY-SIZE-/370362781913?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item950326d23f
  3. LMG your post got me into the research mode, just got off the phone with Yo-Zuri, they are still producing the 600yd spools in green, smoke purple, and clear, the other colors were discontinued but the ones I listed are still being manufctured. I talked to a man named Chris in the sales office in Florida. Hope you can find the line.
  4. I hear ya LMG, occasionally the wife says something, I just comment on her Coach bags, Jimmy Choo shoes. That ends the discussion, lol. I'm sold on the convergence line for moving baits, 10 bucks more and lifetime warranty. Picked up a Winch over the weekend, the salesman cringed when I paired it with the convergence lol.
  5. Yep Big Fish Sports Ebay, I can't find it anywhere locally. I've tried in WV, roanoke VA, Columbia, SC, Augusta GA, Charllotte NC. I buy it online. This supplier has new line and restocks all the time, you will not get an old spool hew also stocks every color. I buy everything from 6 to 15 lb test only in green.
  6. lol, now I'm feeling rather ignorant , thanks for the clarification. I saw ARB, and my mind went to Anti Reverse Bearing, thanks again. Yeah Abu calls them HPCR. My apologies to David
  7. I think that my description confused you. The Anti reverse bearing is located in the handle pack and its a roller type, that catches on the sleeve that the handle goes through. Can't put an anti-reverse bearing on the spool shaft, if you did the reel wouldn't cast.
  8. Done and done keep us posted. Praying for you and Dave and families..
  9. I'm thinking its ryobi made, I haven't seen its been cleaned a little. Does anyone know?
  10. Had it out practice casting today seems fine. Guess I'll call Abu tomorrow to double check. Thanks Avery
  11. Picked up a gen 2 winch. As usual to much oil from factory, anyway took off spool tension knob, removed the plastic spacer to access to bearing. And I think there is a washer or seal missing. I can see the the little bb's on the bearing, its wide open. Is this the way its made or is the bearing missing its shield?
  12. Going through my uncle's garage we came across a Lew's BB1L, not sure of manufacturer. This thing is in mint condition, smooth and seems like an awesome find. From reading the Lew's site this reel I'm guessing this is a mid to late 70's reel. Can anyone tell me more about it? I will post some pictures when I get them, my Uncle is going to email them to me. I'm just interested in finding out more. Thanks
  13. They are sometimes located behind a white panel inside the door at the top.
  14. My crankbait box has labels taped so I can read the labels. My crankbait boxes are split up as lipless, shallow, medium, deep and topwater
  15. I can't believe raidernation hasn't posted on this. Flipping left middle finger Punching right hook
  16. Go to sears website and find the manual for your model. Without a schematic I couldn't begin to tell u where to find the relay
  17. IMO don't just change tranny fluid, which is typically 5qts and filter if equipped. Have it pressure flushed that way you are changing the entire fluid closer to 15 qts
  18. Just about every pair of pants and shorts I own are cargo or carpenter. Can't carry anything in my back pocket (sciatic nerve). Its the only way to carry my cell phone, wallet, keys, smokes or snuff depending on mood and meds.
  19. Seeing that you enjoy writing so much, its not surprising you don't like math. But like others have already posted math is essential in life. I've tutored several ppl in math, what I've found true among that small pool of ppl is that they are looking for why. Their mindset is somewhat abstract, math does not require a why. I don't know if I'm explaining this very well, but once I could get them past wanting to know why pi is 3.1415.... and just to accept that math works, we made progress. I hope u can find a way to work with your learning disability and be able to have a working knowledge of math. No matter what you major in you well have to take a couple classes in math. If u go with Business Admin or Marketing you will have a little more. The only thing I can say about statistics is that I learned that you can manipulate the data to whatever conclusion u wanted lol.
  20. Good review, thanks for taking the time to do it
  21. Its going to be real easy to dislocate until the tendens heal, although not broke they did stretch. It may be a little weak for the rest of your life. Do a Google search for physical therapy for your fingers to rebuild strength after giving it time to heal. If that doesn't work there is always slone's option lol
  22. X2 on the H2O baits from Academy, every H2O bait I've tried perform very well, and the price is outstanding.
  23. IMO the biggest benefit of graphite over glass is weight. A graphite rod weighs less, however even the newest graphite rods aren't as springy as glass but do a good job. For my money I typically go with a composite graphite and glass, better sensitivity than straight glass and better parabolic action than straight graphite.
  24. I know until I stated bass fishing seriously about 10 years ago the most I had ever spent was about 40 bucks on a combo. Everything I had was ul and my long rod was 6 foot. I thought Quantum and Zebco were top of the line. I had allot of fun fishing, but I lost a bunch of fish. I also thought rubber worms would not catch anything, lol. Sometimes when I fork out 200 bucks on a rod reel I think to myself ignorance was cheaper.
