  1. Any advice on fishing pads in really muddy water?
  2. The boss invader is very similar, you can buy just the jig heads and add your own skirts for cheap. They have a giant hook on them and the head shape gets through grass amazingly well.
  3. That looks really good.
  4. I had a great day a month ago on a t rigged reaction innovation skinny dipper, I need to order more. I actually liked t rigging it way more than putting it on a swimbait hook.
  5. 8-10lb big game. I never break fish off and they basically never throw the hook.
  6. Just a thought, I bet adding a max scent trailer would do more to make a bass hold on than removing the weed guard.
  7. 7 inch power worm, white grubs from 2-4 inches, and a weightless fluke.
  8. Have you tried fishing the skinny dipper or gambler EZ weightless through cover? If not it will change your mind! Just had a killer day slow rolling one through pads And actually it wasn’t weightless, I ended up Texas rigging it with a light bullet weight
  9. I honestly don’t throw anything I don’t like to throw.
  10. Don’t worry, the 4 inch menace is smaller than the average flipping bait, go to the store and look at them. In my mind the standard size menace is a slightly downsized bait, absolutely not too small for a bladed jig, not even too small for the average finesse jig really.
  11. Don’t understand how you guys walk with multiple rods. I bring one either medium heavy casting or a lighter spinning rod depending on the season and where I’m going. I fish so much better not having to turn around and lug extra rods around, gives me the freedom to just walk and cast, cover water when I need to, and just focus on fishing. Bring a back up rod in the car in case you really need it, be willing to hike down the bank to find the fish. If they aren’t there keep moving.
  12. Fished some flooded bushes/trees last week and caught several good fish on a white fluke, when you twitch it it will sometimes dart deeper into the bush and it drives the bass crazy.
  13. T rig, 1/4-3/8 weight. Summer craw kills it in stained and clear water, I use it as a trailer for every style of jig too and it works great. Didn’t thing much of it when it first came out but when I actually saw it in the water and started catching fish with it I immediately loved it. When I’m just dragging a t rig I use the zoom z craw instead though, always flip and pitch with the menace though.
  14. I just use the berkley half heads, the hook is plenty small and sharp and I have no problems setting it even on my light action pansfish rod.
  15. I just bought a cross eyed chatterbait too, haven’t caught much with it yet but it seems like a great chatterbait. I need to switch snaps too because I was also shocked at the snap, very small and light wire for a chatterbait designed to be fished in heavy cover.
  16. You could try a small comfortable hiking/backpacking bag. I have a bass pro brand fishing backpack and it’s wonderful and fits a lot of gear but it hurts my back after a few hours of fishing. I would make comfort and back support a priority over space.
  17. Just spent 8 hours organizing my back room where I keep my tackle and it’s still a mess. I use the same 20 or so things, hoping to get organized and get rid of what I don’t use in the next few weeks.
  18. A standard sized Summer craw rage menace with a 1/4 ounce weight and 3/0 ewg hook can do almost everything and works in almost every water condition.
  19. Have you fished just the standard pointer 100? It actually seems pretty beefy to me and you could put some big ewg trebles on it no problem.
  20. I love the berkley half heads, very cheap and come with a nice small and sharp hook. The keeper works well with Elaztech at first but once the worm starts to wear out a drop of supper glue might be needed.
  21. Summer craw is an awesome color, I fish a unique little area where the water will be super clear and 50 yards down it’s like a foot of visibility at best. I can go down the bank flipping a summer craw menace and it works equally well in both water conditions.
  22. Pliers when fishing treble hooked baits, don’t want another hook in my hand.
  23. Well they can’t swim straight with even the tiniest bit of grass on them, I only have two but both get unbalanced way easier than the rattle traps and 6th sense lipless baits?
  24. It’s such a pain but fishing a jerkbait on wind blown banks when the wind is HOWLING has gotten me some good ones lately. One four pounder hit right as the wind caused the slack in my line to wrap around the tip of my rod, thankfully didn’t loose the fish or break my rod tip ?
  25. Tenkiller killer I bet, I must have.
