  1. Don’t know how I missed that one, gonna have to start paying more attention.
  2. How do they advertise these sales?
  3. “Now we’re adding light technology” I love when people try to make a crappy led light or a stupid chirping noise sound like cutting edge innovation ?
  4. Those are all baits I would fish With confidence for sure!
  5. Dang I should have bought some when I was looking at them a few days ago. Has anyone tried the berkley Maxscent chunks? They have a chunk that looks exactly like a pork chunk and with the Maxscent and the pork style trailer profile it might be a really great jig trailer. I’ve only ever used craws and beavers as trailers but this spring I’m going to give the zoom and Maxscent chunks an honest try.
  6. I bought a binder full of roboworms and I got about 30 of these little dropshot baits as well but they are not in original packaging and I was wondering if anyone can tell me what they are. One side is flat and they are about 3 inches Also they are very oily if you couldn’t tell ?
  7. I love the z craw jr, it has a “medium” kick and has gotten bites on tough days, the rage craws, menaces, reaction innovation sweet beaver, and berkley pitboss Make up the rest of my craw selection. I’m going to try some zoom chunks on jigs this season though and see how I like them. I’ve never used a realistic craw bait before simply because I don’t have confidence in them for some stupid reason.
  8. So I’m no Swimbait expert but I bought a black dog baits g2 shellcracker about a year ago and it is a great wake bait, you have to fish it super slow to get it to wake and the tail makes a nice clicking noise. It’s big enough to catch big fish but small enough to catch a lot of fish.
  9. I enjoyed watching that video and it gave me same great ideas, do you not store your Jigheads with your terminal tackle or do you just not use them that often?
  10. I went from 8lb big game to 6lb xl on one of my finesse spinning combos with a spray of kvd line and lure the night before I use it and just going to a smaller line has helped me get a lot more distance on my casts.
  11. I bought a couple packs of these at Walmart that come with 2 jig heads and while the heads are heavier than the 1/16th ounce half heads I use for actual Ned rigging the slightly heavier head is perfect on the cut r worm. I believe it’s an 8th ounce head
  12. Use a grub and ball head jig like you would for crappie but use a 4 inch grub on a bigger ball head jig. I always give my girlfriend this setup and she pretty much always catches bass. If the water is pretty clear you can use a 3.8 Swimbait instead of a grub
  13. Oops I thought I was still on the alligator post ?
  14. My other hobby besides fishing is herpetology, basically I like to observe and photograph reptiles and amphibians. It’s actually similar to bass fishing in some ways, anyway here is a small gator I jumped on last yea and received a nice little bite from.
  15. So I’ve learned to take a little bit of everything so that I can adjust to the conditions accordingly. I will leave almost everything in my car and only walk with one setup but it’s nice to have everything I might need close by. There have been too many times where I have only brought a few baits because I thought the water clarity would be what it was the last time but it had changed and I was unprepared even though I have just about everything I could ever need at home. No I get out of the car, look at the water, and decide what I want to start with and bring a few back ups and a few other options and just start fishing hard. If that doesn’t work out just go back to the car and try something else!

  17. I have no packaging unfortunately, is there a way to tell if the bait is a “good one” by just looking at it. Mine both have the eyes pointing downward and both have deep rattles but also maybe a few more tinny rattles as well? Either way I have them and I’ll try them out
  18. Do you know how to tell the difference between the new and old rick clun lucky strike jerkbaits. I have two I picked up at a garage sale and I believe they are the older models but not sure
  19. Straight up truth ? until I have a real boat and a vehicle capable of safely transporting my rods I will not spend over $100 on a rod
  20. Love my slx reel but my 7,5 mh slx rod does not really have enough tip for accurate casting and is tip heavy. It’s a fine rod especially with the combo price but it has not been as versatile as a mh could/should be. I mean I still use it for almost everything but a shorter mh with a softer tip is my next purchase. I will use the slx rod for casting bigger keitechs and hollow belly swimbaits, half ounce jigs, maybe smaller frogs. I have a 7ft medium slx spinning rod and it is great and has plenty of back bone, still though a little softer tip would go a long way.
  21. My initial thinking was fishing the flashy ones when it’s partly cloudy and a little bit windy kind in situation where you might also fish a spinnerbait. Wasn’t sure if too much flash on a bright and calm day would be a bad thing. Appreciate the responses!
  22. I was lucky enough to pick up a nice lot of lc pointer minnows some of which have flash like the American Shad and some that don’t. I’m newer to jerkbait fishing and I’m wondering what conditions usually call for flash and which ones don’t. I’ll experiment plenty myself but I’m curious to see what y’all’s experiences have been.
  23. Appreciate it! I’ve been fishing Skiatook from the bank this year and have caught smallies, spots, and largemouth all smaller fish though for the most part. I’ve seen some monster smallies cruising the bank there though and an 8ish largemouth dead on the bank. Taking my new little water craft out for the first time this Friday. I’ve had luck at green leaf from my float tube too. Would you recommend just buckling down and learning one or two local lakes or just fishing and learning as many good lakes as possible?
  24. Do you have any recommendations for smaller lakes within an hour and a half of Tulsa? Have you spent much time fishing Bixhoma?
  25. Maybe setting the hook to hard with such a tiny hook and stiff rod is the problem? I’m not sure but it seems like you are doing something different then everyone else and it’s working.
