  5. Next week I will be buying a new St. Croix rod. My question is, are the Legend Tournament rods worth the extra money compared to the Mojos? Excatly how much better are they?
  6. Just joined up. I'm in 10th place after the Classic! ;D
  7. I don't know why you would be suprised. I own 2 xs reels and imho they are fantastic. They are solidly built, and perform better than any reel I have ever thrown, and I used to use Shimanos. I don't understand where all the negitive feedback is coming from. :-?
  8. Best online tackle shop there is! Another thing that has not been mentioned are the daliy specials. Today for instance, they have Jewel Heavy Cover Finesse Football Jig 2pks for $3.79!!
  9. I bought one pack of 5/0 straight shanks. I havn't fished much with them but they are as sharp as any hook right out of the package. I'll see how they'll hold up this year. So far, no problem.
  10. Well, he weighed a 19 lb sack on day 2. Too little, too late /he was on my fantasy team. :'(
  11. Anytime the fish are shallow and will crush a topwater frog. It doesn't get any better than that! /walk walk walk KABOOM!!!! Then the screech of braid tearing through the rod guides!! :)
  12. If you like to flip you should come down to the The Lake of the Ozarks, MO. You could flip dock the whole trip and only cover a fraction of them on the lake and there are plenty of 5 and 6 pounders in there.
  13. The jig for sure. The senko is used to fillout a limit a lot of the time. Jig produce more weight. /I'm NOT saying big fish can't be caught on senkos.
  14. Don't forget BASS Times. There are some great articles in that mag/paper.
  15. Tough call, but I went with the Z-train.
  16. A few years ago a fishing buddy of mine and I had a mutual friend that was anti-fishing. He wasn't a crazy PETA person, but he did think it was a little crule. We started to ask him if he wanted to go fishing with us and eventuly he would tag along. He wouldn't fish, just hang out while we did. I started bringing an extra rod with me and after many session of him sitting on the bank being bored he started to fish. Much to his suprise, he stared to enjoy it. Less than a year later he bought his own rod and reel! Score one for me for converting an anti-fisherman!! ;D
  17. WGFS probably my favorite fishing show. Did you guys the gator gar episode awhile back? Man, it was awesome!! ;D
  18. Thats the show I saw tonight, they never mentioned why they were fishing the way they were. He just talked about his boat sponser the whole time. > Not watching that show anymore.

  20. I have had great sucess with vicious, but I like Bass Pro's flouro a little better. I would say its worth the price you pay for it.
