  1. thanks, I'll check them out.
  2. Other than me driving to Kittery or Foxboro, where are the best places for a large selection of fishing equipment/tackle/lures? I can't believe we only have one BASS Pro Shop and one Cabelas in New England.
  3. My weekend has been kinda slow, only three on Friday in 1.5hrs, but good sized. They all slammed the Rage Tail Shad, Pearl White. Hopefully tonight I can bring in some nice lunkers.
  4. I fished a swamp off Kendall Rd and RT 3, (Tyngsboro) on Saturday evening in a canoe with my buddy and only caught 3 between us. He caught two 1lb'rs and I caught a nice 2.5-3lb'r on a Rage Tail Shad, pearl color. Thing is, I had a ton of hits, some big, but I couldn't land them because I didn't set the hook right. I went out again on Monday morning 5am, same place, but from shore and caught three nice bass. I even got my "good deed of the day" out of the way early and took an old rusty hook out of a bass' throat, he survived the surgery, gave me a wink and swam off.
  5. Same with me, if I could just focus on pausing and then setting the hook instead of rippn it as soon as I see action, I'd land a lot of Bass...a lot, these things rock.
  6. Must have been a bad batch.
  7. HERE! HERE! I used the Rage Shad all evening and landed a nice whopper...however, my hook up ratio is still real low. I had so many hits on the Rage Shad I was getting frustrated unable to land them and a few were monsters. It's my fault, I don't pause before setting the hook or I'm not rippn the pole back enough to set it. No luck with my SPRO Frog though, then again I didn't use it long before I was missing the excitement with the Rage Shad.
  8. This is my first season Froggn. Then again I just started fishing after a decade break. Any way, Froggn is a blast. Lately the SPRO or the Rage Tail Shad/Toad are tied on. I've got 30lb test braid and just cast them into the lilies and wait for the bass to hammer them.
  9. And where do you fish The Rage Tail Shad is awesome! I use 4/0 EWG and the action is unreal...the hits are unreal also. I tossed the Smokey Shad in a swamp near where I live and within seconds of starting to retrieve it, a nice 2.5lb'r hammered it...during a moderate rain storm mind you.
  10. Man, too bad, i use to fish that a lot as a kid and caught a lot of lunkers there. Things change I guess.
  11. Grew up in Hudson, left for the Mighty Mighty Marine Corps, got out after 8 years and lived in San Diego/Southern Cali for close to 13 years, moved back east, but now I'm "temporarily" living in Mass...I know, I know. :'( I mainly fish in NH still. I love Gumpas Pond in Pelham, fished it my whole life and I've never been skunked. Awesome place for Pickerel and of course Bass. Pulled a 7lb'r out of there this season. However, lately I've been fishing some swamps just over the border in Mass. and have killed.
  12. After testing them out these past few nights I agree. So far the Smokey Shads are killn them, I have the white ones, but haven't tried them yet.
  13. Thanks, I'm starting to get the hang of it. Landed a nice 2lb'r tonight seconds after the Smokey Shad hit the water and I started to retrieve. And that was in moderate rain! The Rage Shads are awesome, I switch between them and the SPRO Bronze Eye frog.
  14. Just bought the Rage Shad, but haven't tried it yet. I've been using the Rage Toad and I'm very impressed with the hits I get. I've only landed a few, but that's because I'm not use to soft baits and pausing to set the hook.
