  1. How 'bout right here: https://bassresource.com/bass_fishing_123/bass_toho_05b.html
  2. I would never recommend SmokerCraft. I owned a '98 model aluminum bass boat and it literally fell apart on me. After only 2 years of normal use, the hull split on the bottom in two places, lost 26 rivets, and nearly sunk - and SmokerCraft wouldn't honor the warranty. > Absolutely the WORST customer service, and WORST built boat I owned. I couldn't get rid of it fast enough. That's why I went with Ranger. The best built boat with the industry's best backed warranty with the best customer service (3 JD Powers awards). I love my Ranger!
  3. LOL! Well, I wouldn't use a certain oil! Ok, ok... family site. I use scent on my plastics - not really to illicit a strike, mind you. I believe the fish hold onto the lure longer, thus giving you extra time to set the hook. This is particularly useful when the bite is very light and hard to detect. But really, it boils down to confidence. If you believe it will help you, it will.

  6. Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. But as I've stated before, it's YOUR participation that makes these forums so great. It'd be very boring if nobody showed up. I'd be sitting here all by myself. I merely provided the platform for you all to use. I simply culled all the ideas and suggestions you sent in and implemented them. YOU are the reason these forums - and this site - are what it is. YOU make it happen! Y'all are great! ;D ;D
  7. It's not a brand, it's a type of jighead. Owner and Gamakatsu make them, as I'm sure many others.
  8. Geez guys, you're makin' me blush. Thanks for the kudos, really, thank you. But I can't really take credit for the expansion - a lot of you wrote me with your ideas and thoughts on how to improve the forums. I merely collected all your ideas and implemented them. In addition, I didn't post the message to get credit or praise. I just wanted to inform you that the change was indeed intentional and that yes, you're on the same site. I'm humbled by the great remarks and comments. I wasn't expecting that! Thanks!! ;D
  9. Hi there, Due to many requests for more forums, I have greatly expanded the message boards here. Hopefully this will make it easier to find the information you need, and generate more interest and posts. Enjoy! ;D
  10. Take a look at these articles - they may be of interest: http://bassresource.com/fishing/float_tube.html http://bassresource.com/fishing/float_tubes.html http://bassresource.com/fishing/float_tube_fishing.html Hope that helps!
  11. Hmmm let's see.... an editorial about what could, might, perhaps, maybe could happen in the worst possible case scenario. Sells newspapers I guess. :-/ Sorry, I didn't bite. I'm not much of an alarmist. I'd rather sit back and see what unfolds here. Very, very doubtful it will turn everything upside down and change everything, as the author would like you to believe. It could change things, but not to the extreme he's talking about. I think he's cryin' wolf.
  12. If you're looking for novelty lures, look at http://www.bottlecaplure.com/home.html Kinda fun, although I think these guys take themselves too seriously.
  13. Check this article out: http://bassresource.com/fishing/establishing_pattern.html ;D
  14. I see what you guys are talking about - the one from Washington state. Yes, it does look different than you're "normal" bass, but I have caught 6-7 pounders that have looked exactly like that. The don't "look" that big, but put 'em on the scale and they somehow do.
  15. I post what people send. If they embellish a little, then they're a Roland Martin wannabe.
  16. Just added about 20 new pictures on the photowall. Check them out! http://www.bassresource.com/fishingpictures/photowall313.html

  19. Welcome aboard!
  20. Na, I won't bar ya. I've been using this log format since the mid-80's when a buddy and I conjured it up using a very cryptic word processing program and a very loud dot-matrix printer. LOL A couple of years ago I decided to make it available through this site. I had no idea it would be so popular. Now I see variations of it all over the web. If you have an Excel version, or some other variant you've made, please send it to me. I'll post it along with the original for variety's sake.
  21. The Connie from Lake Fork Tackle Repair? Glad to have you aboard. Welcome!
  22. er... make that 300, less than 2 weeks later!!
  23. Here ya go! http://bassresource.com/fish/faq.html#drop
  24. playmaker - destroying a bass bed? Not smart. I certainly do not advocate such a tactic and implore you to throw that technique out of your playbook.
