You did much better than me on my first cast. I simply SMACKED the pavement right in front of me on my first attempt. I made my second cast about an hour later after I respooled (the backlash was enormous). That cast went straight up.... .... ......... ....and back down again -- right in front of me. Now I can cast a little better.

What they're proposing is indeed illegal. Not only is it a criminal offense, but in many states, you can sue them for damages as well. I'm sure the FLW will put a stop to it pronto if it occurs. Funny.... I get hate mail from PETA members often. These folks absolutely believe they're doing nothing illegal. Guess it'll be a surprise to them when they're handcuffed, sitting in the back of a patrol car! ;D

Good, because I'm really close to locking this down. This thread is turning sour, and that's not what these forums are about. Either everyone plays nice, or I lock/delete threads.... and if it gets really bad, I start booting people. We haven't reached that point quite yet, but this thread is right on the threshold.
