  1. The point I'm trying to make is that I just don't take money from anyone willing to throw it at me. I don't need the money, so I'd rather pick and choose from reputable companies. I feel their ads are misleading, and I don't want that here. It would be a disservice to our members. I'm not trying to "rub it in" their face or anything else. I say what I mean with no hidden agendas. There's nothing "between the lines" to read. So if you read something else into it, stop it!
  2. I ship mine when I travel. But with less than a week to go, that can be expensive. But check anyway. You never know. IF you're taking them with you when you fly, be sure to get to the oversize baggage claim FIRST (this is where all the golf bags end up). If heard many a story where thieves wait there to grab expensive rods, reels, golf bags, etc. and just walk off with them as soon as they arrive.
  3. Just got approached AGAIN by the makers of the Walking Worm and Kicktail lures. They REALLY want to advertise here (they're very persistant). But, as I have several times in the past, I declined. I don't care how many dollars they wave in my face, their products are junk and it would be a disservice to our members to advertise them here. It would also discredit the fine folks who do support our site. Sheesh
  4. You're trimmed up way too much. Way waaaay too much. As mentioned, keep that rooster tail down at WOT, about the same height as the cowling. At lower speeds, trim down until the porpoising stops. Same thing when cornering - trim down first. Not only will it stop the cavitation, but it will improve handling while turning. From a dead stop, trim ALL the way down first before taking off. Then trim up slowly as speed increases. If it starts porpoising, trim back down or speed up. Watch your RPM as you're wide open and trimming up. If it suddenly jumps up, you've trimmed up too much. Hope that helps!
  5. Click the "search" link at the top; enter your query; WAIT! look through everything and check the settings. Alter them as needed before hitting "submit". Trust me, you'll find a ton. Kudos to the marketing agency on this product. They sure get a ton of folks asking about them. Unfortunately, the lures aren't worth the stuff I flush down the toilet.
  6. I still use the good 'ol Tru-Turn hook on worms and creature baits. Yes, I use offset hooks too, especially for finesse fishing. But I lost several fish once in a tournament after I had just switched over to offset hooks. I immediately switched back to Tru-Turn hooks and didn't loose any more fish. Maybe it's just me, but offset hooks and baitcasting gear don't make a good match for me. :-/
  7. Not trying to be rude, but the FAQ's say perform a searchm (upper right). Give it a whirl.

  12. I did more than interview him, I went fishing with him. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/bass-fishing-pro-Mike-Iaconelli.html
  13. Long Lake is a great lake. You're also 1 1/2 hr drive away from Banks lake and Lake Roosevelt - both fantastic fisheries. Sprague lake is closer, and USED to have excellent largemouth fishing, but they killed it off last October. Might want to wait a few years on that one. But go down I-90 another 40 mins from Sprague to Moses Lake and/or Potholes and you'll be in smallmouth/largemouth heaven. 2 excellent lakes! Hope that helps!

    muddy.?

Let me reiterate - nobody was banned. They deleted their own profiles and left.
  15. The mods and I have been discussing it. Yes, there is a possibility and we're working on it. Thanks!
  16. Less than 5 per year. And they're almost always the little fish in deep water that just inhale and swallow the plastic bait before I can set the hook.

  22. I got the pleasure of interviewing one of bass fishing's most entertaining and most popular pros at the 2008 Classic, Gerald Swindle. Here is the video. Enjoy!
  23. If that were possible, I would have already done it. There is, however, a character limit on the sigs.
