  1. http://sports.espn.go.com/outdoors/bassmaster/conservation/news/story?page=b_con_news_ArmyCorps_20081212 Then go to your congressman's website and get his/her e-mail address and send a message about how you don't want this policy enacted in the Tulsa District of the Corps of Engineers. For those of you in eastern OK - go to http://www.house.gov/boren/contact.shtml and contact Dan Boren. He knows about this issue and needs to be proded into doing something about it before it gets worse.
  2. Congrats on getting good grades and good conduct scores! Sounds to me like you are focusing on your schoolwork now, and are working on your behavior. Keep it up!
  3. If you had e-mail notifications set up to notify you of new posts, you will need to go into your profile and check to ensure that you still have it enabled. Please go to User CP >> Profile >> Options >> Confirm Password. Then scroll down to "Post and Board Notifications:" and ensure that it says "yes" next to "Notify me of new Notifications by eMail?" If not, select "yes" and then click the "save changes" button at the bottom. If you want to be notified of new PMs, Please go to User CP >> Profile >> PM Preferences >> Confirm Password. Then ensure that it says "yes" next to "Notify me of new PMs by eMail:" If not, select "yes" and then click the "save changes" button at the bottom. Thanks!
  4. Thank you! That's extremely helpful. It's true that the rest of the site is under utilized, but it's not just by the "newbies", it's everyone. Can't tell you how many times I've heard long-time members say, "Oh yeah, I forgot about that" regarding the articles. Referencing specific articles in answering a question not only helps "the newbies", but also helps the rest of the folks as well.
  5. What's with the saw?
  6. I consider myself a WWII buff. I learned most of it on my own when I was in high school. I checked out a book on the battle of the Bismark and was addicted. I read it all the way through in one sitting. I couldn't read enough after that. The History Channel didn't exist back then (cable TV was very new, and a novelty). But I could catch the "World at War" and "Victory at Sea" series on a local channel. I learned a TON! I suggest to anyone, to learn as much as possible about past conflicts, including the politics prior to the outbreak of war. You can really learn a lot and then apply it to current events. There's striking resemblences.
  7. 3/8 oz Herb's Dilly.
  8. Start here: http://www.bassresource.com/fish/jigs.html Then follow the links under "Related Articles" on the right side. You'll be an expert in no time!
  9. I'm an advocate of using the search feature to the extent it helps people find answers to their questions faster than waiting for others to respond on a thread. But NOT as a means of preventing people from asking questions.
  10. Likely it was an ad. Norton often has a hard time deciphering a threat from an ad. One of the many reasons I won't use it.
  11. Actually, the search tab, to the left of the search box, is a better option. It's more robust and performs more thorough searches.
  12. Yes, you may send me your password. And I presume you've already changed your password here to something much more difficult to guess.
  13. I suggest you do both - promptly.
  14. [movedhere] General Bass Fishing Forum [move by] Glenn.
  15. I've heard from a few members that they get a "banned" message when they try to post or PM. This a result of old files from the previous design that have been downloaded to your computer conflicting with the new files from the redesign. If this is happening to you, please close all browser windows except one, clear out your cache and cookies, close that browser window (all browsers should be shut down now), and start again. Even better if you reboot your computer after clearing everything out. That should solve the problem.
  16. Sorry, Glenn, that one went right over my head. What do you mean by the Classic NOW? :-? Holding the BassMaster Classic during these conditions.
  17. Here's a few: http://www.fishergirl.com/ http://www.fishher.com/home/ Welcome Home!
  18. I'm still getting e-mails and PMs about this. Just a reminder that I am aware of it and am working on it. Thanks!
  19. Welcome Home!
  20. All great names mentioned. I agree with them all, but would add to the list: Red Skelton Everyone on the Carol Burnett show Johhny Carson Gregory Peck
  21. LOL, Ya with a temp drop that big, I was thinking, "Ok, let's have the Classic NOW!" ;D
  22. For those of you who use e-mail notifications for new posts and PM's - Yes, I know it hasn't been working. Well, actually, it's been working on and off since the update. I'm working on fixing it. Most likely this will take a few days, since the problem seems to be intermittent right now.
  23. I read a review on it this weekend and they absolutely panned it. Not because of its inaccuracies (if there is such a thing in Sci-Fi), but because of the horrible acting and writing. They didn't say anything about the special effects, so I'm going to assume those were "really cool".. ;D

    BRRRRR!!!

Sorry if some of you decided to take this negatively. It was the furthest from my mind. I'm just in awe of nature and thought I'd post about it. Long Mike - WOW! A nearly 50 degree drop in a few hours. That's amazing. Too bad a few folks find negativity in this thread. Seems like a lot of effort to see things that way. I'd hate to live like that.

    BRRRRR!!!

Just went out and took a walk in it. Woo hoo! That'll wake you up! ;D
