Nobody has mentioned the fact that the Cards had to challenge 2 additional blown calls by the refs.
Another invisible asterick next to a Stealers' SB trophy. If I were a Stealers fan, I'd be livid about the officiating. Too many screw-ups by the refs question the legitimacy of their win.
That's the way it is. People are going to question it when the refs blow calls. If you're a Stealer's fan, get over it, and demand higher standards from the officials.
As for the Stealers "dominance" - Warner had a whopping 377 yds passing - the 2nd highest in any SuperBowl, and 3 TD's, equating to a QB rating of an astonishing 112.3. Looks like their dazzeling defense, fizzled.
One has to wonder what might have happened if Arizona's coaches had started throwing the ball earlier in the game. For some reason, the team that was last in the NFL in running the football, but near the top passing, tried to establish the run in the first half. It didn't work.
The Stealers didn't win this one. The Cards lost it, and the refs blew it. Nothing worth gloating about.
