Man that's terrible. Was it on Belton? One thing I noticed while on Ike's boat this year was that my life vest had a kill switch on it. I asked him about it and he told me that it was in case he got thrown out of the boat. He told me of an incident when that happened to him. Fortunately he was with Ish Monroe, but he didn't have a kill switch on his vest. Ish skillfully held the switch down while driving the boat back over to Mike to pick him up. Ever since then, Mike has had a kill switch on his passenger's vest. Good idea, and cheap insurance for a few bucks.

Typical news coverage. Only about 50% is accurate. I know - I was in the media for a number of years. They rarely check for facts. Deadlines are the only thing that matters. That said, the general increase in fishing is true. I've talked to a lot of folks in the industry that are seeing huge increases in business lately. BUT... that was after a decrease of roughly 30%-50% in business last year. So the surge, while welcome, still has a ways to go to make up for the deficit.

Use an aerator along with proper catch and release techniques and you'll be fine. No need to spend the extra $$ on that.
