  1. Your quest has been fulfilled: http://www.bassresource.com/search1/search.php
  2. Overstockbait.com is having a terrific sale on VMC Jigs Kits. These are SUPER HIGH quality jig kits that normally sell in stores for $7.99 to $9.99- with 6 to 8 jigs. They are blowing them out for $1.99 each. But we're just doing it for a few days. Hurry and get them while you can! www.Overstockbait.com
  3. So you're taking the word of somebody who talked to somebody who said he saw the fish...and you're banking on that? Sounds like idle gossip to me. Remember, we fishermen..."embellish" every now and then too. So it makes for a juicy story if the fish is too short to be that heavy. Just presenting another side of the story.
  4. Good post. Great post! Let's not rehash the ethics of bed fishing yet again here.
  5. The cat looks ticked. She's like, "LOOK what you DID to me!" ;D

    New PB

    Congrats!! 8-)
  8. It's not a bait issue. It's a location and/or presentation issue.
  9. I'm still waiting to make my first mistake. ;D
  10. This thread has teetered on the edge for awhile now, and then somebody somehow made a thread about a rod into something political. What an incredible stretch! *facepalm* Posts have been deleted, and now this thread is closed. Congrats.
  11. My Ranger trailer uses tubes throughout the trailer for the wires to run through. this protects the wires completely. Also, all the lights are in sealed housings, which are great until a bulb finally dies. Then you have to replace the whole unit, which is hardwired in. So it's a minor pain to replace. Oh well, small price to pay.
  12. Check this out, with a guest interviewer: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/jamie-fralik.html
  13. Yep, tire chalks (the wedge things) and a trailer jack "donut". These are in case you have to disconnect the trailer from your rig. If memory serves me correct, it's a new boat, so your tires should be good. That said, make sure the spare is inflated to the correct PSI. Make sure your jack will work for your trailor, and bring a small board to place underneath it in case you have to jack it up on a soft surface. Oh! I almost forgot! Make sure your lug wrench is the right size for the lugs on your trailer. I have to carry a seperate wrench for my trailer. Also, spare bulbs are a good thing to have handy.
  14. Wow, I'm just the opposite. Spinnerbaits typically have large hooks (e.g 5/0), which means MH rods with 15lb test min. This equates to hard hooksets. Sweepsets are for small hooks and light line - finesse fishing. I don't use trailer hooks either. If you're getting strikes and missing fish, they're talking to you - something isn't quite right. Change blade colors, skirt colors, or trailer colors until they engulf it. You won't need a trailer hook then.
  15. We both got it immediately after the Classic. Landed both of us in the hospital for a day. No fun. Took us out for about 4 days. I'm still fighting an ear infection from it. I guess it took out the entire Megastrike crew at the same time. Nasty virus, but at least it's relatively short-lived.
  16. I usually catch wind of these things before everyone else does, and I've heard nada. You've been owned, my son.
  17. Fish Chris has! He has the system perfected!
  18. Surelife creates the best livewell products, bar none!
  19. Keep it civil guys, and on topic. Making this personal is the quickest way to ending this thread. Capice?
  20. With the exception of nightcrawlers, they don't sell live bait in my neck of the woods. So it's kind of a treat to do it when we travel. It's a fun deviation from the "norm". However I prefer artificials over live bait simply because there's more activity for me to do. But hey, if you want to fish live bait 24/7, knock yourself out! Makes no difference to me!
  21. As for techniques - don't get too concerned about "being different" for the NW. Throw what you know, and you might be surprised. A smallie doesn't know where it lives. You only need to adjust for water clarity and water temp; so that may mean smaller diameter line and more natural colored baits than you're used to. The spawn usually happens in May-June, so adjust your seasonal approach accordingly. That's about it!
  22. I don't know when we're going over, how long we'll be staying, or even if we're going now.

  24. I grew up listening to country only because my dad loved it so much (still does). I heard all the oldies you can think of - Hank Snow, Jimmy Rodgers, Johnny Cash, Merl, Waylon, Jim Reeves, and just about anything you can square dance to. I hated it....and still do. ;D Sorry, but I was a rocker as soon as I hit my teens...well, actually, ok, anything that wasn't country I listened to (yes, even new wave ). But now I like the new country - anythng newer than say 2000, except I do like some 90's stuff like Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, and Dwight Yokum. But if it's got too much twang (like George Straight), or is about a divorce, then I change the channel. ;D
