  1. Yessir! Those black bags are just 3 of the 18 bags of whole bean coffee we have. Plus we have two 3lb canisters of ground coffee in the cupboard. Hey, we live in Seattle. It's required.
  2. Ha ha! Good one Scott! Naw, the problem we had also knocked out 7 Mercs and 2 other Yammi's at the same time in our area --> Ethanol. I suspect the same issue is at play here, but I'm no mechanic, so I'm just speculating.
  3. I think that's commendable that you took it up directly with them, rather than merely ranting about it across Internet forums like so many do. 8-) While I can certainly understand your frustration and surprise at the sudden increase, I don't think you should have jumped to conclusions (e.g. "corporate greed") or accused them of planning anything "evil" (outsourcing jobs). It's quite possible that simply the cost of producing the baits went up for some reason. In fairness to them, I trust that you'll post their response verbatim here as well.
  4. LOL! They kinda look like that don't they? ;D Alas, but they're just avacados.
  5. This is ours:
  6. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/ Have fun!
  7. To all you guys who say they're going: MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS NOW! Otherwise you won't have any place to stay. Fair warning.
  8. Keri and I fished a lake last spring where we caught numerous males off beds -- all of them were over 4 pounds. The females....man....they were huge....7-9 pounds easy, no problem. The biggest was at least 10. Never caught the any of the females, but it was clear how big they were compared to the males. What a day! 8-)
  9. Yes, and that's how you make him go "Woof!"
  10. And European men! Just ask Gene. Then again....maybe it's just Gene. :
  11. Yes, EBM line. EBM=Everything Besides Mercury J/K!
  12. Man, they may be small, but a lot of fun! We're about to get our first snow of the year, and here you are catching bass in Hawaii! You got it good man.
  13. I had a similar issue with an aluminum Smokercraft bass boat. It had a 10 year warranty on the hull, and I bought it from the original owner after 2. In less than 1 year, the hull literally split in 2 places, and developed leaks around most the rivets. I contacted Smokercraft, and they wouldn't honor the warranty because I wasn't the original owner. A rather sneaky and dishonest way of getting out of their obligations. > After much hollering, letter writing, and phone calls, they finally agreed to fix the hull. However, I would have to ship the boat to their factory and back at my expense! That would have cost me nearly 2 grand! > So I found a local welder to fix the hull, replaced 28 rivets with FAA approved super rivets, and then got rid of it asap. I'm a happy Ranger owner now. 8-)
  14. Allright, thanks for clearing it up. Everyone else~ thanks for the warm welcome! Clancy W Bird~ Central Texas, just outside of Austin in Round Rock. Let me clarify - you cannot promote your OWN business, website, products, etc. But you may list sponsors, favorites, etc in your sig line. However marketing copy is not allowed in all cases, with the exceptions noted by RW. Hope that helps, and welcome home!

    Handguns

Guys, let's not get into some kinda endless gun debate, ok? Just stick to the OP's request please. Thanks! Glenn
  16. The depth thing is a myth. You can catch a bass in 10 feet and still need to fizz him. Why? He probably JUST came up from deep water. So anytime a fish is having trouble righting themselves, fizz 'em....and NOT through the throat, unless you're absolutely 100% certain you know exactly what you're doing. There's a main artery right there that, if poked, will bleed them out and kill them. Therefore, inserting through the side is the recommended approach.
  17. Outstanding essays gentlemen! Outstanding! Congratulations!
  18. I've already made my reservations.

  24. The 6th Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip dates are set! Make plans now to be at Kentucky Lake, Kentucky, April 17-22, 2011!! The lake should be at the peak of pre-spawn/spawn at this time, and the fishing is expected to be fantastic! Not only do you have a shot at catching a trophy bass, but you'll get to meet other members from the forum, and meet the BassResource.com staff. And of course, everyone will be up to their fun antics! We will be staying at Moors Resort (https://www.moorsresort.com/). The lodge (which is nice) has 24 rooms available, all with 2 queen beds, a full bath, microwave oven, small refrigerator, coffee pot, hairdryer, cable television, FREE high speed Internet, DVD player, telephone and all the comforts of your own room at home for $72 a night (cheaper if you share rooms)... information and friendships...priceless! ALL cabins and rooms are non-smoking. Smoking is allowed in outside areas. They also have a MASSIVE grill on a trailer that they will provide for our use. In addition, they are completely set up for bass anglers - there is ample parking for boats with hookups, plus the marina offers covered and uncovered boat slips with electric service available for daily rentals (Please ask to make boat slip reservations when reserving your room). It is easy to understand why Moors Resort & Marina hosts more fishing tournaments than any other facility in the region. Please note there are no camping or RV facilities at the resort. You are responsible for your room reservation We cannot hold any rooms because of high demand. So if you want to stay at the lodge, you need to book immediately. They only have one other week next year that is not already booked. Yes, it's that popular! A one night deposit is required for each room. Deposits ($72 plus tax) are NON-refundable but are transferable. Call Kelli at 1-800-626-5472 to make your reservation. You MUST mention group code Bass Resource in order to get your reservation. Note that the rooms fill up very fast, so we cannot guarantee you a room. If you don't make reservations right now, you might wind up staying elsewhere as they could already be completely booked! Those of us that do attend will have a blast! Those that don't will always wonder what they've missed! See what Bill Dance has to say about Kentucky Lake For those flying to the event...... Nashville is the best airport to get you close. If you send Long Mike a PM with your flight #s and arrival time we will try to arrange transportation from the Nashville airport. Also if you will be driving in from the East and passing through or near Nashville, please send him a PM as you may be able to pick up a member at the airport on your way in. If we work together, we can get everyone to the lake. For those who haven't been and might be uncertain if you'll fit in....don't worry, you will, we'll make sure of it! More information and news will be posted on this thread regarding who's going, who's cooking, who's bringing boats, who needs back seats, etc. See you there! NO EXCUSES! Many thanks to Deb, Greg (R520dvx), Long Mike, and the Mods for putting this together!! There's a lot of hard work behind the scenes in determining a location and arranging accommodations. These folks did a stellar job!!
  25. And this is why you should never breed with your kin.
