  3. Yup, I was in Osaka last spring and bought about $700 worth of baits for less than $200. 😁
  4. Getting less and less tolerant of cold, wet weather for sure. The doctors opening the playbook - it's a yearly game of "what's THAT??" Readers are a requirement Turning the light on your phone so you can read the menu Catching yourself stooping while walking - when did that start?? More gray/missing hair Aches and pains in joints, especially when getting up or bending down Where'd I put my keys? Watching the pop music awards and not recognizing anybody Prioritizing comfort over fashion in clothing choices Complaining about things being "different now" compared to when you were younger Feeling more cautious when doing physical activities Say goodbye to a full night's sleep

  10. Hey HEY now! Don't go telling everyone flat-sided cranks work year round. Geeze man...they might think you're not joking.
  11. 54 and sunny today. And what's the butcher's name on the Brady Bunch? And no Googling it! If you know, you know.
  12. Ultra-tough, bullet-proof leader. Just what you need. https://bit.ly/3DxYyRR
  13. If only there were a surefire way to diagnose cabin fever....
  14. @Junger I can't help you there. My wife never questions what I buy because she spends more than me on fishing gear! LOL
  15. Who gives a rats about what you bought and how much you did or did not spend? That's a level of pettiness that cannot be helped. You don't need people like that in your life. They'll only bring you down and try to prevent you from achieving your goals. Replace them with better friends that support you and cheer you on!
  16. Well guys, the rumors - and lies - were saying Dobyns closed, out of business, gone...forever. THAT is what I was addressing. Not omitting anything here. In fact, I did say the warehouse was moving. I was shutting down the lies about them going out of business. How that becomes "poor moderation" is a big leap off a tall cliff. This is clearly a very emotional topic for some folks. And asking rhetorical "what if" questions about hypothetical situations doesn't do anything but fan the rumorville flames. I get some people feel a code of trust was violated, but the speculations and predictions that followed are, indeed, unsubstantiated rumors. So, it's time to say "Goodnight Irene".
  17. 50 and sunny the whole week for me. Usually it's 42 and raining. Weird weather indeed.
  18. On a good note, the Vikings safely flew home last night. It's the only successful touchdown they've had all week!
  19. More broke-off fish with hooks stuck in their mouths? That's fodder for PETA. It's a hard "NO" for me.
  20. Well wouldn't ya know? Nailed it. That makes the Seahawks the only team in NFL history to have back-to-back winning seasons without a playoff appearance. Hey, you gotta "win" at something, right? 🤣🤣 It's also their best record since 2020.
  21. Here are the 5 best baits to use in January and exactly how to fish them to catch bass in cold water. Whether you’re working deep structure or shallow points, these techniques will help you stay on the fish all month long. Enjoy!

  22. I do not have a Physyx.
  23. I have both. The Legend is definitely better for fishing slow-moving lures. It's lighter and more sensitive. The Trigon Mojo has a good grip on it, which is great for two-handed casting like back-handed casts with spinnerbaits. The key thing here is that with spinnerbaits, rod sensitivity is not a primary concern. You can tell when a bass hits a spinnerbait. Even decades ago when I was fishing with composite rods, I didn't have any problem detecting spinnerbait bites. The Trigon Mojo is FAR better than those composite rods, both in sensitivity and weight. So you should be fine. But if a light rod like the Legend is your jam, then you probably won't like the Mojo.
  24. Just be careful on the roads. Icy roads don't have friends and favorites. You might feel your driving skillz are legit, but the dude without insurance and an expired license doesn't. And he'll ruin your day. Get your stuff done now and stay home if you can.
  25. Ok guys, take a breath. Here's the scoop....are you ready? ..... They closed down a warehouse and will be shipping from another to improve shipping efficiency. That's it. They are NOT closing Dobyn's Rods. They are not shuttering the plant. Everything is the same. Nothing else has changed. The only thing that will change is the address on the return label. Gary and the CEO of GSM (Eddie) talk regularly and are great friends. Gary is still very much involved in the company, and they will continue to make the great rods they have always made.
