Get the Sportsman model. You won't need an extra battery for it. It will run off one of your existing batteries without any problems. Have fun!

Don't forget are newest mod - 00mod! Jeff has done a great job the past few months, and I expect he'll continue to do so! I honestly appreciate the feedback folks - both good and bad. We're not perfect, and never will be, but we certainly try to be fair when needed. btw - I don't own any Shimano equipment.

Sometimes with a really deep gut hooked fish, you'll injure the stomach of the fish during the fight, so much so that it's lethal, because you're essentially winding him in by his innards. In those cases, even after hook removal, the fish won't survive. He's done before he even gets in the boat. But my point is - always remove the hook via the method above. At least then you've done your best to increase his chance of survival. But even then, you'll still lose a few gut-hooked fish.

Here's a question I don't think I've heard before: Do smallmouth recover faster than largemouth from post-front conditions? What do you think and why?

^^ Winner! ^^ Seems there's a general impression that all mods are power-hungry jerks who tend to abuse their authority. And with good reason. I've seen it on many other forums, so the stereotype is enforced. Sometimes new folks label us with that stereotype....that is until they get to know us.

Yep, it's Lumaflex, and that's the material, not a brand. It can be hard to find skirts made with this material, but boy the search is worth it!

In my opinion, distance is not a factor. A "good cast" to me is one that hits exactly where I'm aiming, and lands exactly the way I want it do. It's all about the ability control my presentation.
