  1. By then, solid state batteries might be an option.
  2. My bold prediction: Come next October, the Mariners will STILL be the only MLB team never to make it to the World Series. .....well....ok.....not so bold.
  3. Think smallmouth shut down in the winter? Think again! Learn where to look, what baits to throw, and how to fish them effectively in icy waters.
  4. Well...I suppose that's why it's been awhile since he tried spamming the site. He was a persistent guy. Since he won't be doing that anymore, I removed the ban on NuTech lures.
  5. Try the Gambler Quick Change skirts. They should do the trick. https://bit.ly/40mqikb
  6. I've been fishing for bass since I was 3 yrs old (no joke!). I stopped dwelling on lost fish long ago. Except if it was a big one during a tournament. That stings and takes me a few hours to get over it. Fortunately, that hasn't happened in over a decade. 😁
  7. Yup, the developers 86'd it. No reason was given. Sorry about that.
  8. Thank you! He's a natural in front of the camera, so it was an easy shoot for me. He kept going even through the rain! I had to put my rain jacket over my camera, so I was, shall we say, a bit damp after the shoot. LOL
  9. and they get Carol Burnett. 🤣 Oh look...now they're Googling Carol Burnett....
  10. Please advised....(see above)
  11. Same problem Geno Smith has, but he still has a job for now. Darnold is out as is Russel Wilson. Tomlin might be on his way out the door too.
  12. What fishing gimmick did I fall for? The weather forecast.
  13. Reminder that politics of any kind are not allowed here. Some comments have been removed. Carry on...
  14. Yes, you're right! He started in around 2000 I think. We met face-to-face in 2007, and at least once a year ever since. He's quite the stick!
  15. Join Greg Hackney as he delves into winter jig fishing, sharing his favorite setups for targeting big bass during winter. Learn why jigs are effective year-round, discover tips for fishing heavy cover, and find out how to adjust your approach based on water temperature and cover type.
  16. Great Googly Moogly!!!
  17. This is an excellent question. The characteristics for Pounce and STS are similar because the products are targeting species of fish that spend their time in environments that have some very similar characteristics like rocks, weeds and wood. For that reason, both offer exceptional abrasion resistance and strength and deliver all the other benefits of fluorocarbon like fast sink rate, low stretch and invisibility. Diameters for most Seaguar lines are the same for the lb test sizes as they are all built to conform to the proper break strength. There are a few exceptions in line diameter sizes but not many. Both Pounce and STS are made from 100% Seaguar fluorocarbon resins. Unlike STS, Pounce is targeting bass anglers - both the casual weekend angler and those that fish local tournaments. Also, Pounce is on 25 yard spools to help keep the price affordable and enable anglers to buy several spools of different lb. test sizes to meet different application needs. Lastly but important, Pounce is merchandised in a box instead of the typical “Leader Ring”. Hopefully this adds a little familiarity to bass anglers who are not always used to seeing leader spools on retail displays.
  18. Definitely NOT a fish kill. However, if you found a few dead fish, that's a signal the oxygen levels aren't good in the shallows, and fish will abandon those areas for better water quality. Why is the oxygen level low? As @Don51 said, water temps have dropped below average. The lake likely has abundant aquatic vegetation, which can start to die off as temps drop. Dying plants consume oxygen rather than produce it. Plants die off first in the shallows. Hence, low DO (dissolved oxygen) levels in the shallows.
  19. I see a rule change coming in the offseason regarding fair catch signals.
