I'm sure you can catch fish year around but there was an article in the recent Bassmaster and most seemed to agree when the water hits 39-40 deg it gets a lot tougher.
Has anyone even caught a double digit smallie lately? I've heard of 7lbers being caught in the great lakes and 8lb+ in California but finding a smallie in double digits is very difficult.
Agreed. I don't like using tungsten weight with sleeves. I feel that it isn't the same as the Trutungsten ones which are sleeveless. I'm still looking for sleeveless alternatives but I haven't found one yet.
Wouldn't the fish be under the thermocline? When deep cranking isn't it best to still hit the bottom? Sorry, I have never really deep cranked before and would like to learn.
I've never had any issues with Gama hooks. I'm sure Owner's are better but they cost more and since I've never had issues with Gama which happen to be readily available by my why switch?
