  1. Thanx duxfan, shore fishing is my primary way of fishing, at least until I get a boat (someday) So i take it you live in hemet? we should get together. all of the so-cal guys an do a meet an greet, then some fishing. "I am here to serve, only because there are some that just can't. but together we all serve our country one way or anothor" memo
  2. Thanks for the indepth heads up SD_BaSsAsSiN I should be there the first week of Sept. Hopefully just in time for the summer/fall transition. Maybe we can hook up once mam gets everything settled in. As for the everything that I do in regards to serveing. it should be me that should be giving thanks. Thanks for your support without Americans like yourself, then my job would be meaningless. Once again I can't wait to move back and wet some lines. maybe we could hook up sometime an see what we can pull out of the water. memo
  3. I think there is a song named after my thought. "I want it all" Cant wait to get my hands on the rooster, as well as the eliminator memo
  4. nice fish an great job on your first jig fish. I to am trying to bet on the first "jig" bus. but always wind up getting off on the 1st stop memo
  5. congrats on the fatty. Man that spot looks sweet, just looking at those pics I mentally figured out what I would use an when. memo
  6. I would. Any time there is a break in the wire that is prone to getting wet. Cheap insurance if you ask me. Besides better to have an not need. Than to need an not have it. memo
  7. I might not have fished alot of tournaments. but in my opinion makeing multiple cast to one spot can pay of in the end. You either have to hope that they are in the mood or just simply aggreviate them to bit. The boat that you are useing does it have any electronics? Also what are you useing for a search bait. sometimes useing a good search bait is all it takes to find a spot that is holding fish. As for what I use I will use in order a spinner bait, lipless crank bait. An just recently have been useing a jig (swimming it). Also if you have 3 hours an a partner there is no reason why the two of you cannot use some team work. what I mean is divide the water colums between the two of you, an find a pattern that will get you the bites you are looking for. Hope this helps memo
  8. thanks to all for the responces, hopefully some day i get to fish with Bass_Stomper as well as Hammer 4. once again thaks an cant wait till the unpacking is done, an I can slip out on the water. memo
  9. Going back to San Diego, to get stationed at Pendelton. Looking for new places to fish in the Diego area, Especialy since this is my first official season. I will be heading back at the end of aug. Also I am a non boater so hopefully it will change once i get settled in. thanks in advance. memo
  10. nice looking spinners you have there. I am interested in the color combo. please post on how they do 'for you. memo
  11. I was wondering when should I use different style baits. I always start off with a spinner bait, or crank bait as start. I use bait casters with either 12 lb test fluoro or mono. When do I know when to use what ie, flukes, worms creature baits. I understand that the fish will let me know what they want, but when they aren't talking, then I am not catching. Let me know what you use an when, as well as how you work them. thanks id advance. memo
  12. X2 on EJTaylor I have one of his rods that he made for me as well as one for my buddy "one for the corps" you can't go wrong. Sometimes I feel quilty for fishing the one that he built for me, but then again i feel quilty if I don't. Send him a PM you will not be disapointed. memo
  13. Eddie, I started handing out your buisness cards, now every one on the Marine Corps Rifle team wants one. So you might get a little busy here pretty soon. memo
  14. Welcome to the site Eddie, pull up a chair an enjoy/share the ride. I am on my way back to San Diego, checking in early Sept. memo
  15. WOW. those are some amasing swimbaits you have there ***** 5 stars. That is a foil job correct. memo

  17. Wow Eddy awesome work as always. When I get the rod mailed an delivered to him. We will go an hit the waters. That wat we can both hook up at the same time an post some pictures of both the rods in action. You make awesome rods, an best of all Made In the USA. For Americans by Americans. memo
  18. Congrats on your catch. I don't think there is no better way to spen your B-Day, thank a good day Fishing with your family. habppy b-day memo
  19. Congrats on the fish an as well as the inovations for the homemade keel weighted hook. Going to have to try that one. As far as the presentations they all work. The design of the baits make it seem as if the bait is comeing alive. I have had good luck useing both methods that you mentioned. Pretty much it all depends on what the fish want that day. Give them all a try. memo
  20. WOW looks like you had a blast, concrats to you an good looking fish you have there. memo
  21. I would try dragging a spinerbait on the bottom, or a crank pretty much anything that will maintain contact with the bottom. what is the deepest part of it? memo
  22. If you want the movement for the spots in between the pads get the Rage Tail Toad, constant movement similar to a buzzbait without the hangups/snags. For a walking style frog try either sum or spro. Just make sure you have a strong enough line barid 20 plus memo
  23. the few an shaort times that I have gone out I started out with a spinner bait, then after a while an I am comfortable with the structure underneath the water line I went to a jig with a Rage Tail chunk, or found myself pitching a Rage Tail space monkey. I think the lizard is going in next./ Just cant wait till it warms up an stays warm. memo
  24. hey thats also cool. there are times went the bite is not there an I will lokk in the branches an what not for the same. memo
  25. Posted by: gatorblazer Three, regardless of what you tow with, you need an aux trans cooler added to your truck. The extra strain that towing adds to a trans equals heat. Heat is a transmissions worst enemy. These are less than 50 bucks and can help to prevent a trans rebuild that will cost a min of $1500. Cheap insurance that will keep your wallet nice an happy. the more you tow, it all equals to strain an eventually tranny failures. memo
