    Poor Boy's Baits Erie Darter and Erie Darter Jr. are great goby imitators and produce well when fished with braid and fluorocarbon leader.

    The Fenwick rod is a great stick for sure but the St. Croix Avid, AVS69MLXF, matched with 2500 Stradic, makes up one of the best smallie combos out there. The rod is listed as drop shot specific, but there is not a single smallmouth technique that it can't handle! Tight lines! Scott
